Exceptional 6 Bedroom 18th Century Home with private pool and hot tub.

New to Vrbo: Lovingly restored in 2019, La Grange is an ode to ancient timber, ceramic tiles, exposed beams, and well-trodden wooden floors. This six-bedroom, five bathroom 18th century home oozes history and wraps you into its warm embrace. Although many of its original features have been retained within its cavernous, rustic interior, La Grange offers its guests all mod-cons – including a super-swish dining kitchen, eco-friendly wood fired hot tub and good wifi. If only walls could talk…………

The private fenced and gated swimming pool is open from beginning May until end September and can be heated at an extra cost. There is a poolside terrace for snacks and drinks. To the rear of the house are extensive gardens - great to kick a ball around or to have a snooze in the shade of one of our many trees. The new hot tub is a hugely popular new addition. Let us know in advance and we will have it ready to hop into as soon as you arrive.

I bought La Grange 20 years ago for family holidays but since my family have now all "fled the nest" I have decided to share it with guests who will love it as much as I do.

Why they chose this property

La Grange is set in a delightful rural valley in wooded countryside. Although this is the sleepy part of the Haute Vienne, and the perfect hideaway, there is much to explore in this wonderfully unspoiled area. You will probably fly into Limoges and then have only a 40 minute drive to our little hamlet of Dompierres Les Eglises. Your nearest town is the bustling market town of Magnac Laval with its old quarter (dating back to the 14th Century) and riverside setting. The newly opened Café de la Gare has plenty of outdoor seating with a menu that changes throughout the seasons. There is a good butcher and baker – you can use one of our complimentary bikes to cycle down the road to stock up on your morning pain aux raisins.
