10/10 Excellent

Fabulous!

We had high hopes for a fabulous weekend retreat and we were not disappointed! The cottage was clean to a very high standard, very well equipped with everything we needed and in a perfect location. Booking, checking in and checking out was very simple and made very easy. We did struggle to find the right cottage initially, but once found it was perfect. We booked into the onsite restaurant, Balihoo, for Sunday lunch. Again fabulous service with friendly staff and seriously good food! We will most definitely be booking again!

Stunning location and beautiful cottage!

What can I say.. Absolutely beautiful, both the location and the cottage! The owners has thought of absolutely everything! Spotlessly clean, can not fault anything, you can make your visit as relaxing or busy as you like, Lower Mill Estate is tranquil.. Perfect to unwind, everyone is so respectful of the precious nature and surroundings and of one another! Already booked return visit for 2024(while in the car travelling home!) We loved it, my family had a job dragging me away when it was time to go! Couldn't recommend highly enough

10/10 Excellent

Lakeside break

The accommodation was in an excellent location overlooking the lake with lovely tranquil early morning vistas. The only slight drawback was the seasonal midges around the cottages. The cottage itself was well furnished and very comfortable with an excellent kitchen, which could have done with a little more food storage, if staying longer than a few days. All in all, I will certainly re-book this cottage and I found Orion very efficient and communicative by email.

What makes this property unique

The main attraction of the lodge is being able to relax on the decking with a cool drink in a beautiful lakeside location and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and watch the wildlife. It is close to water sports, many activities, local attractions and many great country pubs, restaurants, tearooms and cafes in and around the Cotswold Lakes.
With many safe cycle trails and well marked footpaths guests can head out and explore the abundant lakes, canals, nature reserves and rivers nearby, including the Thames. The lodge is a great base to head out and visit Cirencester and enjoy the whole Cotswolds region.
