Great place / close to airport

Just off an 18 hour, 3 leg flight. This property is close to the airport. Has everything you could need. Great neighborhood and our host, Karla was just wonderful. She was able to answer any questions we had which made our stay perfect.

Very good value for the price

Extremely good value for the price. It was clean and the beds were comfy.The only difficulty we had was finding the place. There is no civic numbers like in the US or Canada or numbers so it is difficult to find a house. Then there is locks everywhere and at night is very difficult to find the padlocks.

Convenient but no hot water.

The location is convenient to the airport and City Mall. For the price, you get to sleep in a comfy bed. The main bathroom is fantastically re-done and looks modern and spacious. On our visit, we had no hot water anywhere. Not the sink and not in the shower. After a long day’s travel from the US, that was very disappointing.

Close to SJO Airport

We needed a place for our first & last nights in Costa Rica. what a Great find! our host, Karla was so easy to communicate with as we got lost. She helped us every step of the way. Her place is perfect. Close to the SJO Airport, restaurants, parks, gros stores, banks, coffee shops and sodas. Has a full kitchen, private parking garage. Its very secure and safe.

Tranquil comfort

We stayed at Karla's place for 3 weeks and she was so accommodating. Lots of space for all of us, separate bathrooms really is a plus! Beds are comfy and the neighborhood is quiet. Nice to have a garage to park our rental car as well. We will definitely be back! Gracias Karla!

Ideal Stay Near the Mall and Airport with Exceptional Host

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cristo Rey, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The location is ideal, situated conveniently near the mall and the airport, making it perfect for travelers. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly helpful host. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, providing great recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Their hospitality truly made my visit memorable. If you're looking for a place that combines convenience, comfort, and excellent service, Cristo Rey is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Host

Perfect choice for being close to the airport. Host was very gracious and every kitchen appliance as new. I had to unwrap and wash all but worth the stay. Tv didn’t work for the first 3 hours but when we returned, it was working. Nice to have 1/2 bath too! They provided body wash, shampoo, conditioner and dryer! Didn’t use them since I’m not a fan of cold water but well worth the stay. Had lots of fresh fruit, water and soda in refrigerator. Excellent choice for what we needed for it. Only two nights was all we needed. Nice neighborhood but I’m not keen on every dog telling me good night for over an hour! Never heard anyone telling their pet ALTO! Great place for the money!

Simple stay

Convenient location for my one night stay in San Jose. however there were several issues that came up that made it somewhat uncomfortable. I was not informed about some mechanisms required to open the front lock, which was frustrating because I was standing outside for several minutes unable to get in. Also there were multiple keys in the lock box without clarification, so I had to try each one for the front door and then the garage lock as well. I also noticed that there were cobwebs all along the floor corners and edges, which I feel like could easily be remedied with a simple cleaning and completely changed the perceived cleanliness of the property. The bedroom did not have a window but rather the curtain opens up to the laundry room, so I kept the curtain closed. The showerhead could use a change, stream was rather weak. You can clearly hear the sounds of the city outside. Wifi was fast and effective. Bed was comfortable. Owner was lovely and responsive to all my questions.
