Our charming rental is a beautiful and large historic residence unique in Southern Ardèche, ideally located equidistant from all activities and the most touristic sites.
Our residence is entirely privatized for you on its three floors and its magnificent terraces in order to make you a genuine experience the of the region.

HERITAGE: unique in Ardèche, the former private mansion of the Allamel de Bournet family, built on medieval foundations, allow you to stay, up to 10 people, in its 18th century volumes, with 4 bedrooms and 1 sofa bed double, in more than 15 rooms!

UNIQUE LOCATION: Joyeuse City, where our rental stays, is in the center of Southern Ardèche, close to the most beautiful hiking trails in the Cevennes hills, close to the rivers (Labeaume and Ardeche rivers), to the most beautiful villages of France (Balazuc and Vogüé), not far from starred restaurants (Vals, Montfleury), within range of the Gorges de l'Ardèche and of course, of the region of caves, including the famous and exceptional Grotte Chauvet.

SPACE: don't be packed! enjoy 397 m2 on 3 levels! The mansion is entirely privatized for you, with (a unique fact in this architecture) a large terrace on *each floor* with a view onto the old town. Perfect for the traditional *aperitif* and barbecues...

HOME SHOPPING SERVICE: in order to allow you to spend more time enjoying the region rather than the local supermarket... a concierge service is included in the rental for you arrival (excl. cost of food). On ask, you will fin your favorite shopping in the fridge, as soon as you arrive, to start the week without having to worry about running out of everything.

Wonderful stay at this charming and incredibly spacious gite

We have had a wonderul holiday in the Ardeche, staying at this grand gite in Joyeuse. We are a family of 3 with a teenage daughter so it was an ideal property for us with lots of space, including 2 en suite rooms and a further bathroom, well equipped kitchen and 2 terraces all to oursleves. It is a beautifully restored residence which is very well equipped, very clean and an ideal location in a very quaint part of Joyuese and really central for touring around the Ardeche. Karym was extremely welcoming and helpful during our stay. Ajoining the house is the artisan ice cream cafe which Karym and his wife run which we sampled on several occasions, truly delicious ice cream !! We would highly recommend this lovely gite and would love to come back one day.

Appartement au centre d'une vielle ville médiévale.

Des difficultés à joindre le propriétaire avant notre arrivée. Sur place bon accueil de Karim. En revanche, seules trois chambres étaient prévues alors que l'annonce en indiquait 4 voire 5. Finalement une 4e chambre pas très propre sera préparée , l'entrée dans cette chambre se faisant par des toilettes sales! La maison est spatieuse sur deux étages (2e et 3e) et bien équipée. Joyeuse est une ville touristique à la fois assez calme et animée au mois d'août.

Schöne historische Stadtvilla

Wir hatten in diesem Haus einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist perfekt. Mitten in der Altstadt von Joyeuse, direkt an einem kleinen Platz. Alle Besorgungen können fussläufig erledigt werden. Die Ausstattung und die Räume sind großzügig. Die Einrichtung ist gleichfalls historisch. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Karim. Wir werden versuchen, nochmals hier her zu kommen.

De l'espace, du calme dans cette magnifique maison, des vraies vacances dans une région où l'on est bien. Quelques détails matériels ont égayé la semaine (plus de four), mais juste envie d'y retourner... Courage pour la suite des travaux

Gorgeous house!

Loved the house and the town. It is located in the heart of the medieval town on a small square, and is surrounded by small artisans shops. Karym was most helpful in getting us settled, and very responsive to any questions we had, including the history of the house. As would be expected in a house of this age, there are a lot of stairs to navigate, but the views from the bedrooms and terraces are magical. It was spotlessly clean and well supplied with everything that could be required for a stay, including wine! Would love to come back and stay again......
