Full of character and charm, and curated with modern facilities, this hideaway makes a wonderful home from home. The ground floor comprises of a well-equipped kitchen, cosy sitting room featuring a wood burning stove, and stunning dining room. Stairs from the dining room lead to the first floor where two bedrooms are presented. The master bedroom hosts a 6' super-king size zip-and-link bed that can be converted into twin beds on requests, and the second bedroom offers a double bed. A very spacious and decadent family bathroom boasts a free-standing roll-top bath - just perfect at the end of a day spent exploring North Yorkshire.
Spend time with friends and family gathered around the outdoor table seating four, or if you feel like going out for the evening, wander to one of the many eateries that Malton has to offer. Known as the food capital of the north, Malton offers plenty of pubs and restaurants for every taste, and is home to many wonderful independent shops and places of interest. 1 School Lane is the perfect base for visiting York, the Yorkshire coastline, and the areas many historic estates, such as Castle Howard and Scampston Hall.

One of best equipped cottages we have stayed. Beautifully restored, spotless and everything we needed. Location tucked away but in centre of Malton was ideal.
Only quibble, sofa was bit lumpy and uncomfortable. Time to replace?
