The gîte was very comfortable and well designed, shower and bed excellent. The location was very peaceful. The access steps to the property could prove a challenge for anyone with limited mobility. We would normally expect to leave any property in which we stayed clean and tidy, but were rather surprised to find we were expected to clean before we left - « all surfaces, bathroom, sweep floors and strip bed » This had not been mentioned in the description of the property.

Thank you for your kind review — we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay. We’re sorry if it felt as though you needed to “clean the gîte.” Our intention is simply to ask guests to leave it as clean and tidy as they found it, and we provide basic cleaning supplies to make that easy. After every departure, each gîte is thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum, steam cleaner, and antibacterial products before new guests arrive. We recently placed some written guidance in the gîte because guests often asked us what was expected on departure, but we appreciate your feedback and will review the wording to ensure it feels clear and helpful. Regarding the steps to Gîte 1, they may be challenging if guests have limited mobility. If accessibility is a concern, we would be happy to recommend Gîte 2 or discuss the best option for your needs.

Thanks a lot to Richard for his kindness and the nice place he holds.
