The lake house "Glicine" with its panoramic terrace, Jacuzzi hot tub and a park with swimming pool, creates an ideal vacation spot. This marvelous structure is situated in a panoramic position where you can admire the spectacle of the valley with Lake Vico in the centre.. Holiday home Glicine is located on a gentle slope on the shores of the lake. Surrounded by oak and chestnut woods, it is therefore ready to offer you absolute peace and privacy while being just a few kilometers from the city famous for the Terme dei Papi, Viterbo and from the most interesting cultural centers of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. A well-kept park around the villa is made up of large lawn areas enlivened by flower bushes. Once through the entrance portal, you will find yourself immersed in a large splendid terrace - patio, framed by bushes of fragrant plants and flowers with iridescent colors that make the environment magical and evocative. Spa-like atmospheres for this property at 650m above sea level with a prodigious view of the lake 400m above sea level, in the middle of the Monti Cimini hills, 850m above sea level. Location is completed by a wellness area created on the adjacent terrace, complete with a bubbly Jacuzzi for ozone therapy, comfortable deck chairs to admire the landscape and an outdoor shower. The entrance, the terrace and patio, develop on the ground floor and open directly onto the living area with sitting room, dining area and kitchen to form a single open space, connected by a large French window with an external dining area. Also on this floor we find two double bedrooms, hallway, a bathroom with shower cabin. Sleeping area is equipped with AC. The gazebo on the terrace is pretty and provides shade for a table for pleasant al fresco lunches or dinners. The surrounding park boasts a scenic swimming pool, to be shared. Fantastic place

Having stayed here for 4 nights in June I have to say I couldnt recommend the Villa La Paiola (and specifically Villa Glicine) more. The owner Alena and her family and staff were very helpful. And huge effort was taken to make us feel welcome, and make sure we had all we needed. From food in the fridge, to maps, and bus timetables. The Villas although 'basic' were fantastically clean, and very comfortable. The setting is the really special part though. The views are jaw dropping from all parts of the villa and its grounds, and the quiet and off the beaten track area suited us right down to the ground. All i would say you need to consider before booking is how happy you are driving on Italian roads, as it is in the mountains, and can get a bit hairy - but thats the only sligtly negative comment i can think of. Good value for money, and a great little spot for seeing Rome, AND its surrounding areas.
