About this property

Karavotsakisma Studio & Villa accommodation with Pool

Peace, privacy, magnificent sea views, glorious sunsets, lush mature gardens, a swimming pool, a high standard of comfort and service; all contribute to making Karavotsakisma one of the most enchanting places on Skiathos. This secluded retreat is two minutes drive from excellent sandy beaches (Elias, Koukounaries, Banana, Ag. Eleni, Agistro Mandraki, Kriffi, Maratha) and the facilities of tavernas, bars, supermarkets, horse riding and water-sports, (the Salto Watersports at Koukounaires offers our guests a 20% discount ).
THE TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT is in Karavotsakisma House on the ground floor with terrace in the garden..
The (newly refurbished) apartment consists of main bedroom with double bed, a small second bedroom with bunk bed (or cot and bed if required) ; bathroom; a practical, well equipped kitchen/dining room (induction hob, full oven fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine, toaster, iron and ironing board) opening onto garden terrace with another dining table and sea view.
There are fans, hairdryers and a safe deposit box. Cool boxes and parasols are provided for use at the beach.
SERVICE. Cleaning is daily and bed linen and towels are changed regularly. Your accommodation will be arranged with fresh flowers, fruit, drinks and provisions for the first mornings breakfast.
PROVISIONS FOR INFANTS are available upon request, cot, bed rail, high chair, car seat, baby monitor, etc.
THE POOL terrace has panoramic sea views and wonderful sunsets; cushioned sunbeds and big sun umbrellas. The pool is over 14 meters long with a shallow end. It is salt water chlorinated; an Australian system making it kind to the skin. There is a BBQ area. The pool is exclusively for our guests. There is a separate shaded GAMES TERRACE with table tennis, a pool table, table football and library.
CAR-HIRE is recommended not only as it is a steep walk up but also to allow you to enjoy the island fully. I am happy to arrange this for you. The car would be picked up and dropped off at the airport…. Or you may prefer to arrange this yourself.
FREE WIFI is available in the Apartment, on the terraces and at the pool..

Wonderful stay.A beautiful complex of apartments, studios, and a villa surrounded by greenery with a spectacular sea view above Agia Eleni. We stayed in an apartment that wasn't large but was comfortable and fully equipped for every need, and, importantly, was cleaned daily.It also has a swimming pool with a sea view.Highly recommended!!

Super villa

Gail’s Villa is absolutely stunning. It was perfect for our family with superb views over the sea. It’s walking distance to a local beach and amenities are close by. A car is advisable due to the location. Has a gorgeous pool and games room where we spent evenings playing pool, table football and ping pong. Wil be back.

Simply perfect!

We had a fantastic stay. The grounds and the views are just stunning. The apartment is small, but cosy and has everything - even some toys for the kids. Gail was friendly, helpful and discreet so there plenty of privacy when using the garden and pool. Overall, the experience at Karavotsakisma was both very aesthetic and comfortable - just what we wanted, and we will definitely be back 🌞 Thank you Gail for a great stay!

Perfect Paradise

Gail was the perfect hostess and the gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was part of a few other villas secretly tucked into the Greek hillside. With a fabulous communal pool. There was milk, eggs, bread, honey and olive oil provided for our arrival with plenty of tea and coffee too. And Gail, her son William and daughter, Elle all greeted us to help us with our luggage. Beach towels were provided and changed when requested. The apartment was cleaned every day and sheets were changed most days too. It was incredibly idyllic. Due to the extreme heat - not having air conditioning made the apartment very warm as the ceiling fan wasn’t quite as effective as it usually would be. Maybe stand up fans could be provided in addition like they were in the 2nd bedroom in extreme temperatures. This certainly didn’t stop us having a wonderful holiday experience and we would highly recommend staying here and we hope to go back.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Blick

die wunderschöne Anlage liegt in den bewaldeten Hügel mit einem fantastischen Blick auf die Bucht des Banána und Agia Eleni Beach. Das Appartement ist sehr schön gelegen umgeben von Olivenbäumen, Lavendel in einem sehr gepflegten Gartenanlage. Direkt von unserem Appartement konnte man morgens beim Frühstücken diesen einmaligen Blick genießen. Abends in der Hängematte dann wundschöne Sonnenuntergänge. Das Appartement war perfekt ausgestattet, alles das was man braucht, inkl. einem Lebensmittelkorb zur Begrüßung. Der sehr gepflegte Pool liegt etwas unterhalb, einmal runter durch den wunderschönen Garten. Auch von dort hat man diesen fantastischen Ausblick auf die bewaldete Bucht und das Meer. Die ganze Anlage ist super gepflegt, jeden Tag neue Handtücher und Reinigung des Appartements. Die Gastgeberin Gail ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Zeit und werden diesen Ausblick jeden Tag vermissen. Vielen Dank, wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Es gibt wahrscheinlich keine schönere Unterkunft auf Skiathos. Ein Haus, eingerichtet mit viel Liebe und Geschmack, mit einem wunderbaren Garten, einem traumhaften Blick auf die Ägäis und einer liebevollen und fürsorglichen Gastgeberin.

Skiathos with a view and tranquility

After 14 Visits to Skiathos from 4 Star hotels to personal villas, we have finally found our second home with Gail. Amazing location with multiple aspects each with its own view. Gail and Son, Will, made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Attention to detail throughout the property shows a labour of love. Has to be experienced to understand!

Wonderful island with accomodation like paradise

We had a very nice stay. The apartments are situated in a beautiful garden that invites you to relax. Everything is very tastefully furnished, with attention to detail. Gail is very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay. You can only recommend it. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

What a beautiful restful place to stay!

We had a wonderful week in Gail's two bedroom apartment. It was simply furnished and felt lovely and cosy. The gardens were lovely, the pool was perfect and our children loved playing pool and ping pong. The location was absolutely stunning - I couldn't get enough of the views! A car was definitely needed though as I wouldn't fancy a walk up the hill!

I was born & grew up in Tynemouth ; then went to Manchester and studied art.
In 1970, I first visited Skiathos where I met my late husband Christos. In our early years together we lived in a hut on the famous Koukounaries Beach; with no fresh water or electricity; everyday life was hard work but stunningly beautiful and of course, it was lots of fun. For 25 years we operated a water sports business from here; in the meanwhile we built our dream home and holiday accommodations on the hilltop above the beach. Here, at Karavotsakisma, with a magnificent view over the sea to Pelion is where I live with my son, William. My daughter Elena holidays here.
