Absolutely amazing
Amazing flat in central location! The check-in process was easy, the person kind and polite. The flat itself is clean, well decorated and very functional. The entrance has a coat hanger and mirror, place for shoes. The bed is very comfortable (I am picky). There is a dedicated study area, the bathroom and shower is spacious, with shelves under the sink and a cupboard behind the mirror. The kitchen is well equipped (good amount of dished, coffee machine, and provision of coffee capsules, tea and sugar, dishwasher & washing machine tablets, sponge/soap). The whole flat feels very airy with its huge windows with (fully functioning - unlike the other review) blinds that you can operate at the press of a button. There are 'thinner" blind to block out immediate view and sun and black-out blinds (which keep the flat nice and dark). Of course, the highlights are the amazing balcony (very cosy and comfortable) and the central location. I have stayed in other places close by in central London and the noise was just unbearable. This flat is very quiet, in a secure building with porter, well lit access at night). You are minutes from Soho, Covent Garden, Oxford Circus etc Check-out was a breeze, the key pick-up/drop-off point is very very close by (cross the road you are there). The one improvement that could be made is to keep the wardrobes a little emptier/put items that stay in the flat together to allow more place to pack clothes (although there was plenty of packing space)

Not at all what it seems
Heads up: smoke and mirrors. The hosting company City Relay may mean well, but ultimately proved to be only in it for the owner. We were strung along by polite lip service. Our paid reservation was for seven nights but we checked out within 16 hours (of our arrival). It was disheartening after a 12-hour journey from the U.S. West Coast; we arrived during daylight hours, yet needed to retrieve the keyfob at a bodega a half-mile away. Our challenges with the property were several-fold, where many parts contributed to the whole. Our attempt at brevity: (1.) Inoperable power blinds which prevented us from opening windows or using the balcony (a key feature of why we reserved the flat in the first place); no "Guest Manual" info was inside the unit and very limited on the app, and City Relay couldn't provide the information we needed. After we sent a video to a rep from City Relay for some how-to tips, the rep conceded that the blinds didn't work and that City Relay would "get back to us." It wasn't possible to raise the blinds without breaking something. Being patient is a nice virtue, but our first eight hours was our only predictor: help was *not* on the way. (2.) The thermostat was faulty and/or we were unable set it for a consistent temperature. Without any help, we had no idea if we could get the issue resolved or experience the flat in comfort. (3.) We explained to City Relay that we would be vacating the flat in order for City Relay to address the blinds/window and thermostat for the next renter. City Relay explained where to drop off the keyfob (a half-mile away). We stayed only one night of our seven-day paid reservation. (4.) The pull-out bed: I've experienced plenty of murphy-style beds without any problem, but this unit's mattress was a fail. It was horribly uncomfortable. (5.) We read reviews about the property before we reserved (and paid). The reviews emphasized the location, but (as we recall) mentioned little else. During our stay, it was strange to discover zero reviews posted. (6.) There was no dryer, but one was advertised in the original listing. (7.) Wi-Fi was spotty and the TV was basically worthless. Representatives from City Relay were courteous, but (after we requested a refund) were ultimately unconcerned about their role. We communicated with six different representatives, each time starting anew as if no one on their end talks with one another. Refund denied. Now talking with VRBO,
