We absolutely loved our stay on the houseboat. It was such a unique and memorable way to experience Amsterdam and honestly had everything we could have asked for. The houseboat was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and in a great location for exploring the city.Our host was wonderful—kind, responsive, and very helpful throughout our stay, which made everything even easier.We had an incredible time and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Amsterdam!

Han’s place was wonderful, and so was he! From his flexibility with rescheduling, to greeting us on arrival, to his clean and unique houseboat experience, our stay in Amsterdam was 5 stars! Guests need to be prepared for tight quarters (it’s a boat!), ladder/stairs to lower level, very comfortable beds, and an absolutely fabulous view! So much fun…and warm thanks, Han, for a terrific time in Amsterdam!

The property has the best view of all the places we've stayed at in Amsterdam. The location is excellent and a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal. The advertisement didn't mention that there are bikes available for those staying which was a nice surprise. The owner was very informative about everything we needed to know about staying on the boat and good restaurants to visit in the location.I would recommend anyone with mobility issues give this a miss though as the layout is of a traditional ship inner with narrow steep stairs. Well equipped with soap, towels, cutlery, cooking utensils, glasses and mugs, but unfortunately there is only one single plate hot plate to cook on which can limit self catering.

This was a really fun rental. The location and view from this house boat was excellent. Sitting out at night with a drink and having the reflection of everything near Grand Central with all the canal tours going by is quite special. The interior of the boat is very well put together and nice woods and comfy seating. Outdoor section is such a bonus over staying in a hotel. Probably not a great choice for the physically challenged. You need to be able to climb a small ladder. Position is more aligned with the southern side of the action (streets that lead to red light district). Convenience stores and medium sized grocery are all within one large block's walking distance. Really glad we tried this non-traditional option.

The Perfect Place To Stay

We really enjoyed staying on the boat while we were in Amsterdam! It was a very cool experience and the space was gorgeous. There was plenty of room, and the inside of the boat was well laid out and had a modern finish. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of the city and easy to find, and Han came out to meet us as well to ensure we got there okay, despite it being late when we arrived. Han was a very attentive and lovely host, with clear instructions beforehand and on check in. He also let us stay during the day of check out so we could leave our bags and have a base while we explored on our last day. He also left us some beer and wine in the fridge when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The highlight of the stay was waking up, opening the curtains and looking across the water at eye level. Absolutely beautiful and would definitely stay again.

Bamboo boat stay in Amsterdam.

What a fun time, very unique stay in a boat. Lots of room for 3 of us and the deck was so awesome to sit and have a beverage after a day of sightseeing. Han was a great host and was very helpful with our stay and getting us around. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location!

The houseboat was conveniently located with great access to all public transport. Han was helpful and very knowledgeable, and we had a great time on the houseboat! The stairs and ladder would be tough for very small children or anyone with mobility issues - my 4 and 6 year olds were delighted and had a wonderful time.
