About this property
Lovingly Renovated Cosy Dog Friendly Cottage in the heart of Ingleton
This newly renovated delightful traditional cottage dates back to 1850, and features charm and beauty in abundance.
Every aspect of this cottage has been fully renovated, including new windows, doors, plastering, decorating, flooring, heating, electrics, plumbing and furnishings.
The whole cottage is available to guests. This includes 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom includes a double bed, and the second smaller bedroom has a small double. There is also a lovely shower room on the first floor with superb walk in power shower.
On the ground floor, there is a cosy living room with original wood beams featuring 2 sofas and a delightful original cast iron fire (note this is for decoration only). There is also a stunning kitchen diner with door on to the fully enclosed patio area. Venturing further into the garden beyond the patio area there is a gravelled area and wild flower section. The garden is a real sun trap all day.
We are dog friendly and one dog is welcome to join you. If you’d like to bring more than one please message me first.
We are nestled just a short 5 minute walk from the centre of Ingleton, a picturesque traditional Dales village set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with Artisan shops lining the streets, welcoming cafes, independent pubs and restaurants all just a stroll from our front doorstep.
The famous Ingleton Waterfall Trail is a short walk away, and boasts some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in England. White Scar Cave, Britain's longest show cave, and the impressive Ribblehead Viaduct are also all on Ingleton's doorstep. Ingleton is also located against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks.
Please note: Railway Cottage is a traditional cottage in every way, with huge thick stone walls and original wooden beams. This means it has both beauty and charm in abundance, but it is compact and also has lots of quirks, including a very steep and narrow staircase, low ceilings and wonky floors! This means the cottage may not be suitable for very young guests and elderly guests, especially with mobility problems. Please bear this in mind before booking. Railway Cottage is also NOT located near a railway station, to avoid any confusion.
