About the host
Hosted by Alison Morel
I have lived and worked in Selcuk for many years, I originally came backpacking to Turkey and fell in love with Selcuk, Turkey, the friendly people, the beautiful sites, nature and the lifestyle.
Why they chose this property
Ionia House has stunning views of the Byzantine castle, St John's Church and as far as the beach was my main reason for purchasing this 278 square metre piece land with an old house.
Before restoration Ionia House consisted of two connected buildings, the original house and an added extra which was knocked down to make room for the lovely front patio garden.
The house was restored by local talented craftsman, stone masons and carpenters all with pride and passion under the fantastic guidance of a very talented architect.
Ionia House restorations started in July 2012 and my first guests arrived in March 2013.
