Hello and bonjour!

I am originally from the Cévennes region in the South of France. My husband David and I moved to David's native rural Aberdeenshire at Netherton near Kemnay many years ago to raise our four children (and countless dogs!).

Netherton is located on Fetternear estate between Bennachie and the river Don. We farm and run a rural business centre and Netherton Farm Lodge.

I love walking, gardening, cooking, meeting people & spending as much time as possible with my family & friends.

Why they chose this property

Netherton is a tranquil, luxurious home nestled in the heart of Aberdeenshire, 20 mins drive from Aberdeen airport.

This home is an ideal location to explore all of the best Scotland has to offer: less than an hour away from the sensational ‘Whisky Distillery Trail’ –

On the doorstep of the famous, ancient ‘Castle Trail’ for you to visit some of the 300+ stunning castles in the region and their wonderful gardens, with Castle Fraser just a 5 min drive away, and of course Balmoral Castle an hour and a quarter away.

Golf courses are plenty. Superb salmon and trout fishing is available on the Rivers Dee, Don & Deveron with our own fishing beat on Fetternear.

Discover our wonderful ancient woodland and forests, lochs and rivers with their diverse flora and wildlife. Great walks and cycle trails starting on our doorstep through Fetternear, Bennachie (10 min drive) & also the mountains and lochs of Upper Deeside on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park.

There is plenty to do and discover all year round whether you come with your friends or family, on a Scottish holiday venture, a break from the city and/or to combine ‘work away from home’ with relaxation.

What makes this property unique

Netherton Farm Lodge is a Scandinavian lodge with a modern twist and was uniquely designed to reflect the Scottish and French rustic feel derived from both David’s and Noëlle’s heritage.

It is a tranquil family home, cosy, relaxing, comfortable with soft-toned furnishings and welcoming despite being very spacious, with a lovely view over fields and hills.

Its huge windows & French doors on the ground floor let plenty of light streaming through the house and give access to the garden, home of shy woodpeckers and hedgehogs and our resident, friendly pigeons.

As we live at Netherton, we are available to help or advise our guests while respecting their privacy. Our very friendly Cocker Spaniels will be delighted to spend time with you and make you laugh, if you wish to. Most of our guests find having a cuddle or kicking a ball in the garden with Crumble, Pumpkin or Poppie very entertaining and therapeutic.

Whether you need to relax, have a break, or want to mix work with a vacation, the peaceful, spacious, bright, luxurious comfort and personal touches that we offer at Netherton Farm Lodge offer a warm, unique and uplifting Franco-Scottish experience that our guests thoroughly enjoy.
