About this property

Authentic farmhouse with exceptional views in beautiful natural surroundings

The location is exceptional: located halfway up a south-facing hill, the property offers uninterrupted views over the vineyards and olive groves below.

Being the last house at the end of a small country road, backed by a nature reserve where rosemary and thyme grow wild, the property offers peace and privacy in the heart of a privileged natural environment. While the property is unfenced, the garden and pool are perfectly private with no neighbors in sight.

Very comfortably and tastefully furnished, this old 19th century stone house has retained its authentic character thanks to a careful restoration keeping many of the original features such as stone staircases, traditional pavements and Provençal style ceilings.

The house is a wonderful mix of old world charm and modern comforts with new bedding, a kitchen that was completed revamped in 2016, an extra-large plancha style barbecue for great outdoor meals, two hammocks and lots of comfortable lounge chairs around the pool. There's a choice of two outdoor dining areas to suit your preferences in terms of views and shade.

Two of the 4 bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom with toilet. The other two share a very large bathroom with separate toilet. One of the bedrooms has a private terrace with views to the pool. For extra comfort, two of the bedrooms are also air-conditioned.

The property is very private but not isolated: the village of Beaumes-de-Venise is within easy walking distance (1.5 km) and it offers all the services you need: 2 bakeries for your morning croissants, a small supermarket, butcher, pharmacy, several cafés and restaurants, a lovely market on Tuesday mornings, 2 bike rental companies, 4 tennis courts and a large choice of wineries where you can taste and buy the fantastic local wines.

We have been letting the house as a holiday home since 2010 with excellent reviews, however we have few comments on this site since many of our guests are repeat visitors and book direct with us.

Havre de paix et de charme, au milieu des vignes et des oliviers

Superbe séjour de 2 semaines en famille. Mas de caractère décoré avec goût et charme, situé à flan de colline. Endroit très agréable à vivre. Bcp d’espaces à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur, superbement aménagés, chaque membre de la famille a pu profiter en toute quiétude des vacances. La vue depuis la terrasse et la piscine est juste splendide. Nous recommandons chaudement cette pépite.

Si vous aimez l’authenticité, la nature , le silence , l’espace , cette maison est faite pour vous !

Vieille maison provençale , en grosses pierres , pleine de charme, située à flan de colline avec une vue exceptionnelle . Les pièces ont toutes une personnalité différente . La cuisine est moderne , bien équipée , et ma pièce préférée est le salon bibliothèque qui inspire la sérénité et le bien être . Comme on vit beaucoup dehors l’été, tout est prévu pour s’y sentir bien : deux coins repas différents ( selon l’heure , le vent ) deux hamacs pour les siestes , un coin plancha top , une piscine bien intégrée dans l’environnement . Cette piscine est idéale si on a des petits . Et un coin salon extérieur , où on prend l’apéro au coucher de soleil Il faut visiter les jolis villages provençaux et goûter leurs vins . Gigondas m’a laissé un grand souvenir , tres pittoresque et les vins sont si bons . Avignon et Aix en Provence sont de bonnes étapes culturelles ( cette année une expo Nicolas de Staël , magnifique !) Pour les sportifs , de belles randonnees , des circuits pour les cyclistes chevronnés et une piscine en plein air à Carpentras où on peut nager son km tout à son aise . Et surtout une douceur de vivre qui nous imprègne peu à peu ... on revient serein et optimiste . Joëlle

Nous venons de passer 15 jours magnifiques a Beaumes-de-Venise dans le mas de M. Grillet: la maison, ancienne, a été très joliment restaurée. La vue depuis le jardin et la piscine est impressionnante. Beaumes-de-Venise et sa région sont en outre un superbe lieu de départ de promenades

LA PROVENCE DANS TOUTE SA SPLENDEUR

Nous avons passé de formidables vacances dans ce mas très accueillant à l'image de ses propriétaires. La propriété surplombant la campagne provençale environnante, la vue est dégagée et le cadre absolument magnifique. La privacité est totale dans un environnement très calme. L'aménagement est idéal pour des vacances en famille et entre amis. Le mas est très confortable et peu sans autre accueillir 2 familles sans "se marcher dessus". La piscine est très agréable et est de plus sécurisée pour les enfants. De nombreuses terrasses disposées tout autour de la maison et de la piscine permettent de profiter pleinement de chaque moment de la journée. En outre, la maison se situe à peu de distance de nombreuses activités touristiques, culturelles et permet également la visite de magnifiques villages typiquement provençaux. Tout nous a plu. Merci encore aux propriétaires pour leur accueil.
