Set in a tranquil, traditional village, there are a couple of tavernas and a handy mini market within walking distance. Meanwhile, the picturesque Rethymnon, with its Venetian harbour and array of cosmopolitan eateries, is just a 20 minute drive away. Back at the villa, enjoy the attractive pool area and spacious terraces with views that stretch for miles. You’ll have several lovely spots to gather and watch the sunset come evening. WiFi and air conditioning/ heating in all the bedrooms are included.

Villa Dimitra is a great choice for families or groups who want to experience Cretan life up close and personal. Set in the traditional village of Chromonastiri, the surrounding areas are teeming with wildlife allowing opportunities for wonderful walks and bird spotting. Within the village are a couple of tavernas and shops for essentials, as well as a military museum with exhibits from as far back as the Venetian times. Rethymnon, just 20 minutes’ drive away, has plenty to offer any visitor. From the bougainvillea dappled alleyways to the Venetian fortress and harbour, it’s a lovely setting to explore and dine out in. The beaches in and around Rethymnon offer wide, sandy shores and good facilities.
