We’re a small, family-run team based right here in Cardiff, and the idea for Neighbourhood Bedrooms was born from our love of travel, hospitality, and local community. Having explored many cities ourselves over the years, we know exactly what it feels like to arrive tired, hungry, or just wanting a bit of comfort after a long journey. That’s why we created a place that blends the warmth of home, the convenience of a hotel, and the energy of a neighbourhood bar, all under one roof.
Since opening in 2021, we’ve designed each of our three boutique rooms to make your stay feel effortless and relaxing. From comfy king-size beds (or sofa beds), soft towels and hotel-quality linen, to fully equipped kitchenettes and modern bathrooms, we’ve added everything we would want as travellers ourselves.
But Neighbourhood Bedrooms isn’t just about the room, it’s about the vibe. Right downstairs is our street-food restaurant and cocktail bar, Neighbourhood Kitchen, where you can enjoy ever-changing street-food menus, local beers, seasonal drinks and genuine hospitality. It’s a place to meet, eat, relax, laugh and unwind, whether you’re visiting Cardiff for a night out, a weekend getaway, work, or just a peaceful escape. We’re proud to call the lively suburb of Riverside, Cardiff, home. From our doorstep, it’s just a short stroll to the city centre, the main train station, and the city’s best nightlife and events. But Riverside gives you something extra, a warm-hearted neighbourhood feel, riverside walks along the River Taff, and local charm that feels a world away from ordinary hotels. We live nearby ourselves, and we’re always happy to pop downstairs if you want local tips: best pubs, underground gems, how to get to a match or concert, or anything else to make your stay smoother.

We chose Riverside — and specifically Tudor Street — because it perfectly captures everything we love about Cardiff: character, culture, and community, all just minutes from the city centre. As the owner, Tudor wanted a neighbourhood where guests could enjoy independent cafés, scenic riverside walks along the River Taff, and a bustling local market, while still being close to the stadium, nightlife, and transport links.

Riverside has a warm, down-to-earth charm that makes visitors feel welcome the moment they arrive. The Taff Trail offers a beautiful route for guests to explore the city at their own pace — from Bute Park and Cardiff Castle to Cardiff Bay.

We also love the Riverside Farmers Market, which brings the community together every Sunday with fresh produce, local makers, and some of the city’s best street food. Staying here isn’t just about the room — it’s about experiencing Cardiff the way locals do.

Choosing Tudor Street in Riverside meant choosing authenticity, walkability, and local flavour — and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

It’s the kind of place where you can head downstairs for “one drink”… and suddenly it’s midnight and you’ve made five new mates.

Step outside and you’re in Riverside, one of Cardiff’s most colourful and creative neighbourhoods. The River Taff is just seconds away, with the Taff Trail giving you Insta-worthy walks all the way to Cardiff Bay. And if you’re here on a Sunday? The Riverside Farmers Market pops off — fresh food, local makers and some of the best street bites in the city.
