Txurruka is located in the coastal town of Mutriku. An avenue that gives its name to two of the many illustrious people who have left an important architectural legacy in the fishing village, such as the Arrietakua Palace, a beautiful 18th century palace located in the heart of the Historic District, which allows us to travel back in time. Built by Admiral Antonio de Gaztañeta, a renowned shipbuilder between the 17th and 18th centuries, it is the birthplace of Brigadier Cosme Damián Churruca, a great scientist and hero of the Battle of Trafalgar. And, it is currently the home of the Count of Mutriku, Don Enrique Areilza y Churruca. Descendant of Evaristo Churruca, who became an internationally renowned engineer, responsible for the construction of the outer port of Bilbao.
If your idea is to get to know the Basque Country, Mutriku is a good place to establish a base and get to know the entire coast that surrounds it, enjoy the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, enter the Geopark and get to know with its visits by sea or by land the importance of the Flysch and its golden nails in the Nautilus museum, marvel at the environment that surrounds San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, remember the history and the war that inspired Picasso for his famous painting Gernika in situ, with the museum of Peace and understand what the Gernika tree means for the Basques. You can also go to any of the Basque capitals, which you will reach in less than an hour by car.
Txurruka is a spacious modern home with capacity for 4 people strategically located at the same intersection that takes you to the port and the beach area and natural pools that you will see from the bright window in the living room, which you can walk to in 5 and 10 minutes respectively. You can also have breakfast or lunch on the covered balcony of the kitchen, while you observe the different heights of the old town of the fishing village that are a step away from the house. A kitchen that is fully equipped with all kinds of electrical appliances: Dishwasher, microwave, oven... with all its crockery and utensils to enjoy a meal in good company.
In an immense corridor you will find a toilet with a washer and dryer and a complete bathroom with a bathtub, two bedrooms, one on each side, one with a 1.35 m bed and a desk, and the other with a 1.50 m double bed and a large cupboard. In this corridor we will find a distributor with Velux windows and a work area with a glass table and a small sofa, with a shoe rack and a wardrobe, to finish with the last bedroom with a 1.50m double bed that includes another full bathroom and a spacious and modern dressing room with cabinets and mirror.
