This truly stunning converted stables are surrounded by beautiful countryside. As soon as you drive up to the property you feel a sigh of relief at the tranquillity and beauty, this does not stop when you walk through the door.
The Victorian Stables has been decorated to a very high standard which oozes charm with a wealth of beams. The light and open plan living/kitchen/dining area is the perfect entertaining space, or to just sit with your favourite tipple in front of the wood burner. The fully fitted Meile kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast, whilst the dining area looks onto the garden which is accessed via French doors. From the living area there is a galleried floor which is a wonderful area to just sit and read a book and relax. There is a master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, and two further bedrooms and a family bathroom with a lovely roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle. The rear garden is laid to lawn and there is a patio area, perfect for summer barbecues or just relaxing in the sun after dipping in the hot tub, the perfect place to sit with your favourite tipple under the stars.
The village of Kimpton, with a pub and array of independent retailers, is situated in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside between the Mimram and Lea River valleys, about 3 miles from Harpenden. It is well connected, with St Albans, Hitchin, Welwyn Garden City, Luton and Stevenage all within a short car journey, as are the M1 and A1(M). Travelling into Central London can take under an hour, ideal for a trip to the theatre, sightseeing or some retail therapy.
Hitchen is a picture-perfect market town in north Hertfordshire, with a strong sense of community. There are regular summer street parties and a fun annual duck race to look out for. With plenty to explore here, walkers will love Stotfold Water Mill and nature reserve, with a tearoom and gift shop, or St Paul’s Walden Bury, an 18th-century landscape garden. Take a picnic to Hitchen Lavender and enjoy the view of gentle rolling slopes of Wilbury Hill, a peaceful setting with relaxing walks. This town offers an array of shops, cafés and restaurants, a town for foodies to enjoy with every cuisine represented. There is also a large swimming centre and children’s museum. This is a great base for exploring southern England’s Home Counties. Hertfordshire is a beautiful county, well known for its green landscapes and historical landmarks.
