Rooftop Terrace With sea View in Pizzo old Town

The apartment is located in the old town, a 1-minute walk from the heart of Pizzo (and Piazzan), and a short walk further brings you down to Pizzo Marina, where the sea meets cafés, restaurants, bars, and Pizzo’s local beach.

The apartment was renovated a few years ago in an old building featuring a lovely rooftop terrace and two balconies. You can enjoy the outdoors both during the day and in the evening.
The master bedroom faces the ocean, and you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen and living area with a view.

About the apartment:
If you’d like access to a rooftop terrace and two balconies in a well-equipped apartment with a beautiful view of the ocean and the old town’s Piazza just around the corner, this is the place for you!
You’ll be right in the heart of the old town and Italian daily life, just a short walk from the local beach and all the restaurants, ice cream shops, and bars.
You’ll enter the apartment via two flights of stairs on the third floor. From the hallway, you’ll step into the combined kitchen and living area.

The kitchen is well-equipped for 4 people, with a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, combined fridge and freezer, washing machine, water heater, toaster, and plenty of kitchen supplies. In short, everything you need to prepare and set the table for a nice dinner at home.

The living area features a sofa and an armchair in front of the TV, as well as a fireplace. There is also a table that seats four people. From the living area, you can open a large glass door onto the balcony or use the double balcony doors. On the balcony, you’ll find a small table and two chairs. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view of the old town and the sea.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed (180x200), a wardrobe, and two beautiful balcony doors facing the ocean. There is a balcony outside.

The second bedroom is smaller and has a double bed (160x200), a chest of drawers, and clothes hangers.
There is a small window.

The bathroom has a good-sized shower, toilet, and towel racks.

A small staircase leads up to the rooftop terrace. It has two sun loungers, a parasol, and a dining table for four people. The rooftop offers a unique view of the old town and the sea, and is private.
It enjoys sunshine from early morning until a beautiful sunset over the sea right in front of the terrace in the evening.

This apartment is well-equipped and offers a comfortable stay for 4 people. Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment.

This is a NO-SMOKING apartment!

In the apartment, you’ll also find a beach umbrella, beach blanket, cooler bag, etc. Many of the beaches here have public areas, but during peak season, you also have the option to rent (not at the local beach) both lounge chairs and beach umbrellas.

The rental price includes one (1) set of linens, one (1) beach towel, one (1) shower towel, and one (1) hand towel per person.

Electricity:
Depending on consumption.
You pay for electricity usage during your stay. The cost of electricity is paid at checkout when the apartment undergoes a final inspection. Guests’ electricity consumption varies greatly depending on the number of guests and how the AC or heating is used. Currently, the cost of electricity is very high; please do not use the air conditioner if you leave the apartment or do not need it, as the cost can be high.

The apartment is located in the heart of Pizzo’s old town. There is no private parking space; however, there are municipal parking spaces, some of which are free and others require payment.

Note! During peak season and depending on the time of day, it can be difficult to find parking near the apartment, especially in July–August and part of September. We have a tip for free parking, but it’s a 5–8-minute walk.

From the apartment, it’s a short walk to the piazza and small shops, a bakery, and fruit and wine shops.
Pizzo Marina is a 5–10-minute walk downhill from the apartment.
If you walk 10 minutes uphill from the apartment, you’ll find Pizzo’s main road, Via Nazionale. There you’ll find supermarkets, a petrol station, and more shops selling fruit, vegetables, cheese, and baked goods.
So if you don’t mind short walks, it’s easy to leave your car parked.

Pizzo also offers tuk-tuks as small taxis, so if you don’t want to walk, it’s easy. You’ll find them around Pizzo or at their pickup point in the Piazza.

Due to extremely variable electricity costs, all electricity usage is billed and paid for by the individual guest based on consumption. Remember not to leave the air conditioning on when you leave the apartment, as it accounts for a large portion of your electricity consumption.

From October through May, there is also the cost of gas consumption, such as for heating, the fireplace, and hot water.

It is important to understand that there may occasionally be issues in the old town with interruptions to the water supply (especially during peak season); for this reason, there is a reserve tank holding approximately 350 litres of water.

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment, on the balconies, or on the rooftop terrace.

Here you’ll get a taste of everyday Italian life; Pizzo offers a glimpse into the daily routines of Italians. Start your day with a cappuccino in the piazza along with something sweet (about 3€)

In the streets, you can shop at fruit and vegetable stands or buy directly from farmers out of their trucks. Sundays are usually when small local farmers come to sell their tomatoes, courgette, courgette flowers, and many other vegetables; you’ll find them on Pizzo’s main road, Via Nazionale.
On Thursdays, there is a market selling clothing, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses.

Pizzo is famous for its ice cream, so you’ll find gelaterias on every corner. Each one has its own specialities and its own version of “Tartufo.”

The coastline known as the Costa degli Dei features beautiful beaches.

If you prefer walks in beautiful natural surroundings, Sila National Park offers great trails for hiking and mountain biking.

It’s easy to take the local train to the coastal areas; it departs from Pizzo Station, which is about a 15–20-minute walk from the apartment.
