Forget your worries in this spacious and serene villa. After a peaceful night's sleep, relax on the balcony in the morning with a coffee or juice, maybe stroll into town for croissants then take the family for a fun day out, perhaps sightseeing or playing on the beach or hiking in the mountains. Later, have some fun in the pool before sitting down with a cool drink, then strike up the barbecue and enjoy the evening as the sun goes down on another perfect day.
Villa du Soleillé is set in a well established residential area only five minutes walk from the central square in Prades. Overlooked by it's impressive 17th century church and home to several restaurants and cafés, the square hosts a fantastic market on Tuesday mornings.
Villa du Soleillé is a large, robustly built house with a driveway capable of taking at least three cars, a sizeable garden (1000m²) and a recently built pool heated pool (3x7m)
The villa, comprises two floors (ground floor plus one) and has a spacious, light and airy feel throughout.
On the ground floor you will find a large welcoming entrance hall with a family "den" , a double bedroom and a WC. The bedroom opens up through french windows to a small balcony style terrace next to the pool area. The bed is 180cm wide.
The stairs from the hallway lead to an equally spacious central hallway on the first floor. We can provide a safety gate for the stairs if you have younger children. From here you can access the kitchen, the bathroom, WC, three bedrooms and the dining area which in turn, leads to the TV lounge.
One of the bedrooms and the dining area open onto a balcony overlooking the pool with Le Canigou mountain in the background. This bedroom has a 180cm double bed and the bedroom across the hallway has 160cm double bed with a child's cot. The third bedroom has a single bed which can be converted to a double bed. This bedroom has some toys for young children and the bed is more suited to children.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and there is a separate WC.
The dining room has a large modern table with eight chairs and the lounge, which overlooks the pool and garden with large fench doors offers comfortable seating for up to eight people.
The kitchen is practical and well lit, offering a fridge, freezer, an oven and hobs, a kettle, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. You will also find a filter coffee machine.
Outdoors, the pool area is surrounded by a safety fence to prevent youngsters from accessing the pool alone. The garden surrounds the house on two sides and there is a lawned area where children can play. The entire area is contained by a fence.
The barbecue situated in the garden, uses charcoal and the outdoor seating area is built under the lounge on the first floor and therefore offers shade when eating and enables you to benefit from the outdoor warmth even on the rare occasions when it rains!
The pool is heated and is open from the end of May to the end of September please ask for exact dates if you are booking for one of these periods. It is maintained by a specialist and so all you need to do is clear any leaves from the surface before enjoying a great splash around!
The garden is generally maintained once per week but this varies depending on the time of year and weather.
You have access to most of the house. On the ground floor there is one room dedicated to linen etc which is used by the housekeeper and is only available to you to access a light switch. The garage is also not available for use.
You will have a concierge throughout your AirBnB experience, before arrival, during your stay and after your stay. Their job is to make sure that your stay is trouble free and to respond quickly and efficiently to any concerns you may have as well as to provide you with tips on where to visit and when.
