Enjoy all that San Diego has to offer- business conventions and the beach, Torrey Pines, Balboa Park, Sea World, the world-famous San Diego Zoo (to name a few) - in a private, comfortable, and beautifully furnished, clean, and centrally located studio.
Our beautiful & spacious studio suite is attached to our home in the wonderful and quiet neighborhood of Bay Park in Tecolote Canyon. You will enjoy your own private entrance off of a small and private patio. The room is equipped with air conditioning. You will have your own kitchenette with a coffee maker, single burner stove-top, microwave, and full-sized convection toaster oven.
You will have direct access to the (shared with owner) laundry room. Note: Your kitchenette and laundry room is the dividing room that separates your suite from our home.
The bathroom was built to accommodate a wheelchair. Shampoo and conditioner are provided. There are two ceiling fans. A mini-split a/c and heater. Two operable skylights are located above the sofa and also in the laundry room.
We are a smoke-free and drug-free home.

About our community: Bay Park is a wonderful and quiet family neighborhood that is centrally located to everything (trails, beaches, restaurants, bars, downtown, Coronado, La Jolla, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland - the list goes on)! You can walk through the canyon to the Tecolote Nature Center and Tecolote Recreation Center.
More specifically, our studio suite is located in Tecolote Canyon where you can enjoy a hike/nature walk or even a mountain bike ride.
Rent with us and you will be 6 1/2 miles to COMIC CON! We are a short 1 mile to the nearest Trolley Station which will take you right to the Convention Center.
You will be 1 mile to Mission Bay Park; 6.6 miles to Pacific Beach; 4 miles to Sea World; 6.5 miles to the downtown Gaslamp Quarter & 7 1/2 miles to the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park!

Girls weekend trip.

Kris and I met in 2002 training for a marathon. We married in Mexico 3 years later. We have two wonderful school-age children who keep life fun, full, and busy.

Why they chose this property

Our Studio Suite is private. It is a beautifully converted former garage. We raised the roof, insulated the walls, added plumbing, a kitchenette, new windows (including two operable skylights) and a beautiful all-glass front door. You will be able to park in the driveway and enter the studio through your own gate (shown in listing) and into your own private and secure entrance/front door. There are two solid pocket doors separating you from us. The kitchenette space divides the studio from the main house. On one side of the kitchenette (as seen in photos) you will find all of your kitchen essentials. On the opposite, you will find the laundry room. We too utilize the laundry room, but limit our usage to when you are out enjoying the sights. A portion of the kitchenette/laundry is our pantry space. The pantry cabinets will feel very separate from your kitchenette. Please peruse the photos. They capture all of the kitchenette space you will enjoy and you will be able to see the pocket door previously mentioned. We have our own refrigerator in the main house. However, we have some frozen items stored in the kitchenette freezer. We are happy to share. To be clear, the refrigerator in the kitchenette is for your use.

Note: The operable skylight lets in a lot of natural light.

What makes this property unique

The suite includes two ceiling fans, two skylights, and a portable 710 sq. ft. (capable) a/c unit. There is a wall mounted heater for the cooler winter months.
