Town: Only 4 miles separate the little, tranquil village of Penmachno from the well-known town of Betws-y-Coed, which is located in the lovely Machno Valley. While Betws-y-Coed town has a decent selection of shops, bars, and cafes, the surrounding area, which is surrounded by forests, majestic mountains, and gushing rivers, is a refuge for walkers, birdwatchers, mountain bikers, and climbers. The River Conwy joins its three tributaries at this location, resulting in a variety of cascading waterfalls, river pools, and historic bridges throughout the countryside. The most well-known of these is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, which is located where the River Llugwy meets with a breathtaking chasm, creating a sight not to be missed! In the Machno Valley, the stunning Conwy Falls are also well worth a visit. This stunning location has a lot to offer all year round with easy access to North Wales' Heritage Coastlines and all of Snowdonia to explore.
