A wonderful place to stay if you are seeking peace and tranquility.
A wonderful place to stay if you are seeking peace and tranquility. The shepherds but was beautifully clean and well equipped, and a selection of outside seating was perfect for dining out, or just sitting to enjoy the view, the rooks, sheep and cattle. Our host Mary was in contact via messages prior to arrival, and I felt happy in the knowledge she was there (in the farmhouse next door) should we have had any problems during our stay (which we didn't). The village church was pleasant to wander around, as was the village. Check the pub (The Coach and Horses) is serving meals before you plan to go. We walked down on a Wednesday for an evening meal, and sadly they weren't serving food that night despite their website saying they were. All in all we loved it!
