The beautiful lodge is wonderfully bright and attractively decorated and from the open plan living space including the dining and kitchen area you have access via floor-to-ceiling patio doors out onto the private and enclosed decking making the most of those wonderful views. Lakeland View 43 offers three bedrooms with comfortable beds and crisp white linen, complimentary toiletries and a modern family shower room and en-suite toilet. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the uninterrupted sea views.
The popular coastal village of Southerness has undoubtedly some of the most outstanding views of the Solway Firth to the English Lake District in the distance. Explore the beautiful long sandy beach and striking white lighthouse, originally built in 1749, and the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland. There is plenty to keep the kids occupied with a variety of seasonal facilities on site including the indoor swimming pool, adventure playground and amusement arcade. Of course, there is that wonderful beach for them to explore! There are two well-stocked shops, a fish and chip shop, bars and a restaurant so no need to cook all the time!
Further afield stunning Dumfries and Galloway are just waiting to be explored, from walking, sailing and mountain biking at the world-famous 7Stanes tracks at Mabie and Dalbeattie forests. There is an abundance of historical sites and stunning castles throughout the region and many fun-filled activities for adults and kids alike from adventure playgrounds, and farm parks to gin tasting! The area is well recognised for its clear skies as one of the twelve best stargazing sites in the world and the first Dark Sky Park in the UK therefore after a day exploring sit back and relax marvelling at the dark starry skies.
