Unique Country Villa near Budapest

A beautiful property for family, friends and groups within easy reach of Budapest.
Budapest is 40 minutes away and 25 minutes to Budapest airport. The villa sits within its own 1.5 hectare estate with pool (in season), gazebo, landscaped gardens and outside kitchen. The grounds are exceptionally bio diverse with over 30 different varieties of trees. It is secluded without being isolated and is accessed from an unmade road that is about a kilometre away from the motorway directly to Budapest.

The space
The property will suit adventurous outdoor families, friends or groups as it is surrounded by forest. The main villa has been our summer family retreat for the past 15 years.

Given the number of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms, it can comfortably accommodate two or three families wishing to holiday together or a large extended multi generational family.

From the family point of view we can provide amenities such as cot beds, high chairs, a playpen, toys and sandpit, etc. There is a playroom so the children can occupy their own space when not in the garden and parents can get a bit of well deserved rest!

The nine metre by five metre pool has been designed with a shallow end for young children complete with an in pool seating level for comfortable adult supervision (coincidentally works well, as we have discovered over the years, with a glass of wine or beer). The pool is not heated so is only in use from May to the end of August.

Families can cater pool side with a second kitchen (electric cooker and fridge) so no one misses the fun providing the food! Meals/snacks can be consumed in the large gazebo next to the outside kitchen and pool shaded from the sun. There are plentiful sun loungers around the pool to cover rest and relaxation requirements in the sun.

The outside kitchen has an integral real wood BBQ. There is also a large Weber Espirit gas BBQ on the main terrace which can be moved next to the pool if required. The cooking opportunities are completed with a traditional Hungarian Bogrács: this is a large cauldron used over an open fire to cook Goulash (this is for the purists: personally I like cooking curries in the cauldron outside) There is also a fire pit located conveniently near the house.

There are a number of longer forest walks pretty much as you leave the front gate.
There is also the possibility of horse riding as our neighbour Eva has a riding school. This would be by prior arrangement if she has spaces. Early booking is essential as she is normally very busy! There is now another local riding school which my youngest daughter uses and comes highly recommended.

This is the real countryside so if bugs worry you this is probably not the right place to stay.
Traditional thick villa walls so variable internet in places inside but fine outside (even with boosters!)
Unmade road accessing the property is bumpy in places: you need to drive slowly for several sections.
