At the foot of the ramparts: As the name suggests, this town house is located at the foot of the walled enclosure of Tournus, close to the abbey Saint Philibert, its cloister, its chapter house, its cellar ...
Completely renovated in a loft spirit, the house offers high quality services, in a contemporary and very warm.
On the ground floor: large living room with lounge (flat screen TV, DVD), kitchen open to the dining area (oven, hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, appliances raclette, fondue, pierrade, food processor, etc.) and wc.
1st floor: 2 double bedrooms with TV (1 bed 160cm and 1 bed 140cm), 1 with bathroom (washbasin and toilet) and 1 with bathroom and toilet.
2nd floor: shower room with wc, large triple room (3 beds 90cm), and relaxation area with 1 bed 110cm and 1 sofa bed 2 places, many games, library.
The walled garden is equipped with a gas griddle and an electric barbecue, a garden furniture and sunbathing. A relaxation room with 1 double bed (160x200cm), at the bottom of the garden, has also been renovated, revealing part of the ancient ramparts of the city ...

Large but cosy town house, ideal!

We stayed in this super house for 1 week in august. Everything was impressive: the house itself, the decoration and furniture, location, view from the window! We loved it. Great kitchen, loved to cook there. Lovely garden. You don’t need a car here. You can walk everywhere, the nearest boulangerie is a 1 minute walk, carrefour supermarket within 10 minutes! Tournus is very beautiful, especially the St Philibertus. Walks along the Sâone, diner at le Rempart. I would love to come back one day. Communication with Florence went very smooth!

Belle maison spacieuse bien rénovée .

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié ce court séjour qui m’a permis de voir mes fils ... Les propriétaires sont charmants et très compréhensifs sur nos demandes .La maison est très agréable, bien située.Juste peut être améliorer l’extérieur qui est très agréable avec une grande table, plancha, et un petit coup d’entretien !

Parfait !

Quel agréable séjour pour des retrouvailles de lycéennes 40 années après ! La chaleur et le confort de cette maison a contribué à rendre merveilleux ces moments. Celle-ci est idéalement située dans le quartier de l'abbaye. Charmant week-end avec en plus "Les Puces des Cuisinières" ! au Cellier des Moines. Il ne manque absolument rien !

Maison agréable en centre ville et à 2 pas de l'abbaye

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis. Les pièces étaient plus grandes qu'elles ne paraissent sur la photo. Parking facile et gratuit à proximité, propriétaires disponibles et réactifs. Localisation en centre ville pratique pour l'accès rapide aux commerces / marché. Bonne literie, lits faits à l'arrivée! Jardinet sympathique, maison agréable et bien équipée, très adaptée aux jeunes enfants (barrières pour les escaliers etc), à deux pas de l'abbaye. Peu de luminosité en RDC (pièces à vivre) mais cela ne nous a pas du tout gêné sur un week-end (lampes déco un peu partout), et en Eté la maison doit être bien isolée pour garder de la fraîcheur.

Great location. Everything in walking distance, and the nice air made walking a pleasure. House was supplied with what you need, with appliances and hair dryer. Also you will find iron and ironing board. The three floors worked for us. The shower on the top floor was wonderful and beautiful, made with stone work. Property Owner was readily available for assistance and was a pleasure to deal with for any questions. Tournus was centrally located, so we were able to do day trips within France and also to Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Market next door was nice. Great to have fresh meat and vegetables. Plenty of pastry shops within a short walk. Parking was a challenge. Did not understand the meters. It was hard trying to figure out the open hours for everything, especially the restaurants! Great photo opportunities, for you can take beautiful pictures of the abbey with the night lights highlighting the tower. It is equipped with nice TV, but we never used it...too much to do. A large roomy property with a small but welcoming garden.

The accommodation is on three floors - top floor has several beds and a delightful large shower room. First floor has two double bedrooms, one with a loo and sink and the other has a stand-alone deep bath with toilet. There is another small toilet on the ground floor, as well as one in the garden. Car parking is restricted to 20 minutes outside the house, but there is free parking in several places nearby. There is a good grocer next door and the high street is paces away. We were fortunate with the weather and we spent many happy hours in the sunny garden, where at the bottom is a garden room where one can 'escape' to. The kitchen has all modern equipment for a large party - a jug would have been useful but that was a small matter. The kitchen tap arrangement is very modern but we managed not to make too much 'splash'. There are many good restaurants around a few minutes walk away and the town has supermarkets and some wonderful food shops. We took the train to Dijon and Lyon -the station is a short walk away. We had a very relaxing holiday indeed.

Le gîte est vraiment top, on s’y est retrouvé en famille avec des enfants en bas âge et tout était très pratique en plus d’être stylé! Le jardin très appréciable aussi. Tout est accessible à pied à Tournus, emplacement parfait! Je recommande vivement :-) Merci beaucoup, tout le monde à adoré l’endroit, on a passé un super week-end en famille en faisant tout à pied depuis le gîte! On a aussi essayé comme recommandé un étoilé - les terrasses - c’était génial. Encore merci et à bientôt!

très beau gite

Un gite très bien placé à Tournus. Il est en centre ville, on a tout les commerces à proximité. Il est très bien équipé, très bien meublé et décoré. On était 8, chacun a trouvé sa place, on ne se gênait pas les uns les autres. A l'arrière de la maison, un jardin qui doit être très agréable aux beaux jours, malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu en profiter , nous avons eu la pluie tout le séjour. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. En résumé, tout était nickel, je recommande vivement si vous chercher un gite sur Tournus.

An excellent base for visiting Bourgogne

We can unreservedly recommend this town house in Tournus. We stayed three weeks for a family reunion. The house was clean and well-equipped, with large rooms and everything we needed for our stay. It's location in the center of Tournus was perfect. Tournus is interesting in itself, with many good restaurants, and is ideally located for day trips to fine places in Burgundy. It was everything we expected from the listing and more!

Grand 3 storey family house in a great location

Thank you Florence for a great holiday! Tournus is great, as is Bourgogne and this house was well suited for three families. With three floors, a sunny garden, Bbq plus baby bath, change table and high chair, this house is awesome. The kitchen comes equipped with all the extra trimmings (blender, deep fryer, fondue, etc) but was light on for some of the basics and the sink makes a little mess. Other then this, everything is perfect - stylish, warm and homey with books, games and comfy beds. Would stay here again.

Bien situé dans le cœur historique de la ville de Tournus à moins de 2 minutes à pied de la superbe Abbaye Saint Philibert. Stationnement gratuit à proximité. Très grande maison de ville sur 2 étages. Pièce à vivre agréable équipée tout confort. Les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées avec goûts et raffinement (literie excellente). Le dortoir a la déco classe d'école des années 1980 est superbe. A disposition des livres, des jeux, tout le nécessaire à bébé. Sans parler du jardin clos de mur avec sa plancha... nous avons hâtes de revenir pour en profiter.

Great Cozy House!

We - Dutch family with 3 teenage children - stayed for a week in Tournus and loved the house. It is comfy, cosy and you really feel at home. Tournus has a lot of charm and is also conveniently situated to visit the Burgundy area. We made day trips to Dijon, Beaune and Lyon and even went to the local cinema! The hosts are always quickly responding to any questions. We had high expectations but they were met and definetely recommend the house!

Superbe!

Suite à des échanges réguliers et réactifs de MME GADEN, nous avons été accueillis par Justine et son ami. La maison est magnifique. On s'y sent bien dès notre entrée. Elle est parfaitement équipée et idéalement située dans Tournus. La décoration y est soignée, chaleureuse et moderne. Le petit jardin est très agréable au pied des remparts. Et la dépendance est un havre de paix. Nous voyagions à deux couples et avec 5 enfants dont 2 bébés. Tout le monde a rapidement trouvé ses marques. Justine a été une baby sitter parfaite pour les enfants. Nous recommandons fortement ce gite et y reviendrons avec plaisir.
