Excellently designed Eco Lodge suitable for two. Very comfortable, very quiet with beautiful views across Dorset. A great place to relax and to have ‘head space’. Lovely decor, great books to read, local maps and local produce.
Beautiful location with many interesting places to visit. Excellent host 🙏.
Fabulous little lodge with everything to cater for your needs with a touch of luxury! Comfortably hosted 2 adults & 2 dogs, with absolutely stunning views! Hosts Bridget & Steve were wonderful & welcoming, welcome pack of local produce was a lovely little touch!
The cabin is tucked away overlooking the hills. It's got a lovely table and chair set outside to eat breakfast and also some great relaxing chairs so you can look over the view. We decided to set up the firepit and look at the stars and it was lovely! The cabin is clean, tidy and very welcoming with everything you could need. Bridget was a fantastic host, giving clear instructions on how to find the cabin and also responding to any questions quickly. Only downside was we never saw the cats as we really wanted to give them a cuddle!
This rural cozy retreat, impeccably presented & tastefully furnished to a high standard, has amazing views of a timeless bucolic landscape unchanged since Hardy's time.
There are lots of things to see and do (walking, Shaftesbury, Old Wardour Castle, etc.) but just staying put is a treat. The cottage is very peaceful and comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There is also a small library of some fiction and local history books and lots of maps.
On clear nights you have a fantastic views of stars, as this is located in a Dark Sky conservation area. Bring your binos! The outdoor living area is just as beautiful with pots of colourful flowers and plants. There is a garden table and chairs, BBQ, and on the veranda a sofa.
Stanley, one of the two cats, might honour you with a visit. He is very curious and friendly. Lois is the shy one.
In bad weather, curling up on the sofa with a book, mug of tea and slice of cake is just perfect. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from the delightful hosts. Thank you! :-) We will definitely be back.
Everything about this property had been thought about in detail. It was warm, eco friendly, contemporary decor with just the right touches of homely influences. There were books, games, warm blankets. A total escape. The area is stunning but having grown up here in biased
We had an amazing stay at this property. Inside, the property is very well appointed, with a great welcome pack. The views from the garden are spectacular and we spent a lot of time just relaxing out there. There are plenty of walks on your doorstep, with the excellent Foresters pub being about 1.5 miles away.
We went for a "get away from it all" break and this place absolutely delivered. Highly recommended and we would love to return.
