About this property
Toads Breech, Dulverton, characterful, pet-friendly cottage surrounded by nature
Toads Breech at Weatherham Farm near Dulverton, is a characterful converted stone barn, sleeping up to 4, situated just outside the pretty village of Brompton Regis, with it's village shop and the George Inn. Overlooking the glorious Exe Valley, we are a haven for wildlife from the gentle croaking of the Toads in the pond, to swooping swallow fly-bys and the meowing call of the buzzards overhead, you'll feel a million miles away from the hussle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy fresh farm eggs for breakfast, feed the goats or take a wander and enjoy the views across the valley.
We're 100% pet friendly whether that's dogs, cats or we've even had tortoises come to stay! As well as the guest garden, there's always a meadow kept free for ball games and exercise.
If you're looking for something more adventurous, Wimbleball Lake is just on the other side of Brompton Regis, where, as well as lakeside walks, you can hire SUPs, cayaks and sailing boats. Bringing bikes? You are welcome to store them safely in one of the barns. If you're heading out walking the options are numerous - moors and woodland or explore the beautiful coastline, there are breath-taking views aplenty. There are numerous guidebooks and maps in the cottage and we'll happily recommend our favourites - mine usually end in a tea shop!
Oh! and I almost forgot, Exmoor's amazing night sky. On a cloudless night you can see literally thousands of stars. Then come inside and warm up in front of the blazing log burner.
Our usual changeover day is Friday.
