About the host

Originally from the south coast of England, I relocated to Perthshire in 2019 to look after the Estate’s farming, forestry, shooting and property portfolio. In my leisure time I enjoy climbing Munros, hiking, shooting, gundog training and kayaking.

At Logiealmond Estate our mission is to make our guests’ stay as memorable as possible tailoring our service to their individual needs and expectations. Our luxury accommodation provides a sense of place, allowing our guests the opportunity to relax in the stunning Perthshire countryside, enjoy warm Scottish hospitality, take part in unique outdoor activities and experience the Estate’s rich history and heritage.

Our hospitality team will go the extra mile to personally welcome guests and orientate them into their holiday accommodation. We pay attention to the smallest details, providing lovely touches such as complimentary refreshments, fresh flowers, decanters filled with Scottish spirits, luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes, and making sure our properties are immaculately cleaned between visitors.

Why they chose this property

Logiealmond Estate offers the perfect base for your Scottish Highland holiday or short break. Come and explore Scotland’s heather-clad hills, history and heritage from the comfort of our luxurious country estate.

There are many cities and towns nearby where you can immerse yourself in our diverse arts and culture with visits to museums, galleries and unique visitor attractions such as V&A Dundee or The Crannog Centre at Loch Tay.

Scotland has many iconic castles - all with stories to tell. Many have been richly restored and are accessible to visitors all year round. Glamis Castle with its fairy-tale turrets and Scone Palace are close by. There's also the grand castles of Edinburgh and Stirling, or visit the coastal castles of Dunnottar and Eileen Donan.

No visit to Scotland is complete without a tour of one of our world-famous whisky distilleries where you can sample ‘a dram’ or two. In Perthshire we have the oldest working distillery at Glenturret, or visit other Highland distilleries such as Tullibardine and Dewars.

If golf is your game, then you will be spoiled for choice with over 500 of beautiful and challenging courses to choose from in Scotland. Close to Logiealmond you will find Gleneagles at the top of our list but there is also Rosemount and the Royal Perth. A little further away you can play on on The Old Course at St Andrews, considered one of the finest links courses.

What makes this property unique

Nestled into the southern fringes of the Scottish Highlands, Logiealmond Estate offers a host of fantastic sporting, recreational and cultural opportunities all year round. Come and explore the heather-clad hills, our rich history and heritage, all from the comfort of our luxury accommodation.

Logiealmond Estate is also fast becoming world-renowned for its high-quality driven shoot days and simulated clay shooting attracting visitors from the UK, USA, Chile, South Africa and Europe. Guests are welcome to bring their mountain bikes, horse, or hiking boots to enjoy over 13 miles of tracks on the Estate. Our friendly concierge team can also support with booking sporting and outdoor adventure activities on the estate or nearby with partners Splash White Water Rafting or Fishing on the Tay with Fishponds.

Our properties have been renovated and built in ways sympathetic to the original Estate buildings, following our ecological philosophy. All utilise the latest renewable energy technologies with ground source heat pumps taking natural energy from the earth to provide heat and hot water for all our holiday and staff accommodation. We have biomass generators and are currently installing photovoltaics with battery storage for all properties. Thermally efficient insulation makes sure that energy isn’t wasted.

With a focus on protecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity and landscape, there is ongoing large-scale replanting of over 300,000 mixed native Scottish broadleaf trees. The Estate is home to a vast number of red-listed birds and the highest number of registered birds in Scotland including a golden eagle, ospreys, red kites, buzzards and has 54 breeding pairs of curlews. We are also restoring peatland areas to enhance carbon capture.

By providing an abundance of natural, economic and social opportunities, Logiealmond Estate is committed to creating a sustainable environment and to eventually becoming carbon neutral.
