It's got great shopping too from John Lewis down to many local independent shops catering to every possible need. The town centre, like many Spa towns is truly beautiful, with lovely parks and glorious traditional Georgian architecture.
As well as the famous "Cheltenham Races", the town hosts many renowned festivals which include the Jazz, Literary, and Science festivals.
You can even pack your walking boots and, within half an hour, be out in the wonderful Cotswold countryside.
