Worst Property During 4 Weeks in Britain
We have traveled abroad 3 months of the last 12. We spent 4 weeks in Britain using VRBO. This was the worst property experience in those three months.
When we arrived the place was very cold inside. I immediately contacted the property manager and inquired how to get heat. Their response was use the QR code inside the unit, and it will give you all the information. I tried the QR code, and also played around with something that looked like a thermostat sitting on the coffee table. Nothing worked. I watched a YouTube video on how to program. Nothing worked.
I reached out again to the property manager - their response was again to look at the QR code. I asked if the property manager had been at the property. They never replied to that question, stating the QR code always worked. My reply was I am on holiday, the heat was not working, and did anyone check the property before we arrived. I shared the QR code had no useful information - it was still cold.
The property manager after we had gone to bed said she had to go through steps before requesting an engineer in case the heating had not been switched on. She asked me to take photos of the boiler send. We had already booked events and when we arrived back on the second evening nothing had happened. We gave up and wore jackets around inside.
The place was dirty, dishes were dirty, the front door handle was ready to fall off, there was graffiti sprayed on the window our last day.
This place was terrible.
