Great outside area.

The host was very kind and helpful. We loved the outside area with the swimming pool and bbq area. The house itself is dated but clean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. The house is spacious. The beds a bit short for tall people. No WiFi.

Delightful old fashioned manor house

What a great place for a family holiday. The location is wonderful and the house massive. We were an extended family group for 2 weeks and it really worked well for us.Pro's are the location, there are lots of day trips locally (try Braga, Barcelos market on thursdays, guiemures, the local waterfalls and hikes, the Equicamp for horse riding and climbing courses - or Divers for that too) and and the swimming beach down below the dam of Bouro village is just magic (10 min drive); the pool (its huge and has walled shallow area perfect for little kids - the photos don't do it justice) and view. Plus the house stays relatively cool in summer due to the stone and has lots of homey items (board games, music, piano, table cloths etc). Cons are the plumbing which can be a little tricky, and the lack of washing appliances. Silvestre is a lovely host and we are already talking about how to come back
