Host was friendly and answered WhatsApp messages quickly. Apartment was very clean and spacious. However, we had to unclog a very clogged shower drain from the previous tenants (shower flooded bathroom after 2 minutes) and the apartment was very noisy / above a nightclub that didn’t close until after 3am each night, which was not mentioned in the original listing. We live in NYC and this was loud even for us. We did not receive check in or check out instructions until we reached out ourselves. Overall friendly host and the pictures matched the apartment but the stay was just okay overall.

Great place in the heart of Madrid

Excellent place to stay, within walking distance of everything you need to get to. Place was spacious and clean. Only thing is the club outside but earplugs were provided and the noise was not a problem for us.

The location was excellent, but I don’t think I really appreciated just how loud the area was. There is a club directly beneath the apartment, which is open until 3am. It is very loud. Other reviews say that earplugs were provided for them, but they weren’t in our case. We did have some with us, but even with them, the music could still be heard. Both nights we stayed, I barely slept. This is not the hosts fault but if you are a light sleeper or are bothered by noise, this isn’t for you. Personally I think the listing should be clear and advise that the apartment is above a club. It would have also been good to know in advance that on the other side of the hallway is a hostel. There were lots of younger people hanging around the main entrance door. Plenty of restaurants and places for drinks though, and a really good area to be in. The club would put me off ever going back, but if you like that sort of thing it might actually be your thing! The apartment itself is really lovely - super clean, really well looked after and has everything you need (the only thing I couldn’t locate was a pair of scissors!) We didn’t communicate that much with the host - as for some feedback around that, it would perhaps be helpful to have a “guest guide” - other VRBO stays I’ve had have done this and it’s really helpful, just to help with nearest metro, recommended restaurants in the area, etc. Overall a nice place, but the club directly underneath the apartment is very noisy.

Great location and across from Two Popular Clubs

Great location, close to Puerta Del Sol and Tirson Molina Metro stations and several popular streets. If you enjoy staying out late and don’t mind the late night club scene and noise… this is it! Would not recommend if you are a light sleeper. Host did provide earplugs so that was very thoughtful.

The place was clean and close from everything, we didn't need to use transportation to go anywhere. Even 2 of the restaurants we wanted to try were on the same street “Casa Toni & La casa del abuelo”. The location was the best!!

Excellent location

The apartment was clean and well equipped. Check in was easy. The location is within walking distance of everything. I have to say it is a fun and exciting part of town. If you are looking for peace and quiet this may not be the place for you. The owner did provide ear plugs as the local establishments do entertain late almost until dawn.

Excellent Option

Sara did a great job with us. She made the check-in process very smooth and simple to follow. The apartment is located on a great area of town. It has been recently renovated and all furniture is new. It is very safe and you will enjoy it. We were enjoying town until 3am in the morning and had zero issues. I highly recommend it. Bars, Restaurants and Ice cream are at walking distance. We definitely will stay here again!

Excellent Stay

This is a very modern, clean apartment in excellent location. We walked everywhere and didn’t need to use a transport at all. Location is absolutely amazing , not overly touristic. Best restaurants and bars are located within minutes. In fact, we were holding off to eat elsewhere and returned to neighborhoods most nights. Music downstairs is loud but didn’t bother us at all. We were up late ourselves. The apartment has everything you need, bed is very comfortable. Looks much better than pictures. Sara was great, responding fast. Check in and out was very fast and smooth with keyless lock. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back.

PERFECT!

Exactly the location we wanted, superb pre stay communication and impeccably clean and well appointed. The apartment was more spacious than we had anticipated. Previous Verbo Reviews warned us about nearby 'Discos' but the bedroom's sound insulation meant that the disturbance was minimal for us. A REAL bonus for us was the surprisingly ample drawers and wardrobe space with hangers. EVERYTHING had been sensitively and thoughtully provided.....iron, ironing board, two umbrellas, ear plugs (not needed) and inumerable channels on the wide screen TV with Netflix etc. First floor but manageable even with our mobility limitations though well situated for people who prefer to walk to the major museums and tourist destinations - but available taxis passing the door every few minutes with modest fares. We have been visiting the city for decades and this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. The photos don't do it justice.

Parfait pour un week end à deux à Madrid

Plus grand que sur les photos. A 1,5 km de la gare ferroviaire. Beaucoup de choses a visiter a distance de marche. Apportez vous des bouchons car en dessous il y a 1 bar.

Apartamento bem equipado e com ótima localização

O apartamento é no coração do centro de Madrid. Com estação de metro próxima (SOL) e muitas das vezes não precisávamos utilizá-lo, pois é fácil chegar andando no apartamento. Na rua tem grandes bares e restaurantes, deixando a rua bem movimentada. Acredito que foi o melhor apartamento de aluguel que ficamos, muito melhor que nas fotos. O apartamento é bem espaçoso, perfeito para três pessoas. O contato com Sara foi muito bom e rápido.
