Charming Country Cottage
A delightful step back in time while having all the modern conveniences. Cottage was renovated beautifully with every attention to detail and in keeping with its old world charm. Sonia, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to really enjoy the cottage in the evenings around the fire. Thank you, Sonia, for sharing your home. I'm sure we'll be back!!!! Mary, Noelle and Sara

Lovely, comfy cottage
A nice place with lots of charm and character situated in a quiet area that is within easy reach of a lot of famous sights and must-does in the Soutwest region of Ireland. A car is required but then everything can be done as daytrips.

Wonderful Cottage
The rental of this property is through a company called Sykes Cottages. I would have liked to have contacted the owner by email prior to departure, but Sykes only provides a telephone number. Telephoning from the states, with the time difference and the often poor quality of the connection, makes it a less desirable means of communication. The directions to the cottage would have been difficult to follow if I did not have a navigation system. The cottage is great! The advertisement says "working farm" but that means 20 acres where the owner keeps her horse and raises a few heads of cattle to pay for her occasional extravagances. The farm aspect detracted in no way from the attractiveness of the cottage. All facilities worked well. Enough hot water for a good shower. Our cooking was limited, so kitchen features were more than adequate. We could have asked for a bit more sunshine, but I expect this was more than our hostess could have arranged. The location had good access to the southern part of Ireland. We enjoyed our week here thoroughly.

What an enchanting spot! A blend of the old and new done perfectly All the amenities yet we stepped back in time. Perfect central location for exploring from. The people could not have been more friendly and welcoming! Knocklong's celebration was not to be missed. Nor is the Fox's Den just a short stroll down the road.
