South of Trawsfynydd, there is more of the Snowdonia National Park to explore, including the outdoor centre at Coed Y Brenin Forest Park which is only a 10-minute drive from the cabin and offers you cycle hire and a huge range of forest walks. There is also the pretty market town of Dolgellau which has a wide range of individual shops. There’s a vast array of historic sites within easy reach. A short drive away will bring you to the imposing World Heritage site of Harlech Castle and the popular seaside town of Barmouth.
