We had an amazing stay at Hoxie View Cottage. The cottage is just perfect. Better than the pictures! This is not just some cottage you rent for holiday, it is a loved home. The decor is gorgoeus, the view is beautiful. We were on holiday from the UK and Dianne was exceptionally helpful from the start with advice on what to do in the area and comprehensive directions from our car rental pickup. She also kindly supplied beach towles and a beach blanket to save us bringing them. Dianne was there to greet us and show us how everything worked and some more help on what to do in the area. The cottage is equipped with spices, oil etc, which again was very helpful for us coming from the UK. The shower was really good and there were dvds, games, a fire pit, extra blankets. In fact everything for a perfect stay!!!! Dianne, thank you so much for having us at your lovely home and for being the perfect host. We hope some day to return!!!!!!
Wonderful cottage. Very peaceful and beautiful area. We were so happy to stay here. Very clean and had everything we needed. We will be going back. Five stars and One Angel.
I want to thank you for choosing our cottage. It’s nice to have families stay here and enjoy what we have for almost 80 years. As I’ve always said, it’s a little piece of heaven.
Were you able to bring any pickles back home?
This is a small charming quaint cottage. The kitchen has absolutely everything you may possibly need, and Dianne maintains the house in immaculately clean condition. For two of us it was perfect, but probably will be good for a family with kids as well. The swimming hole may be a little further away than it appears from the pics, but it was good for us to walk. We went swimming before breakfast and dinner, so we had a good exercise. Plenty to see and do around. The Boardwalk we think is overrated but the Heritage Museum and gardens are definitely worth visiting. And you have to have pizza at the Brown Jug. The view of the pond from the cottage is gorgeous. We had wonderful time and returned home well rested.
Dear Isabella and Joseph,
Is was so nice meeting you both. It sounds as if you had a nice time on Cape Cod.
I liked your comment about being relaxed. That's just what you ordered.
The Heritage Plantation is quite the interesting place, I love going there.
I'm glad to hear you arrived home save.
When you are thinking of coming to Cape Cod again, please keep Hoxie View Cottage in your plans.

Relaxing Family Get Away
We visited the week after Labor Day and had the most amazing time! The house was the perfect home base for my husband, 2 year old, and myself. Perfect proximity to all of the great places to visit on the cape (we loved Woods Hole, Chatham, Martha's Vineyard, and several trips to the Canal!). Mornings were spent seeing the cape, and afternoons were spent swimming in Hoxie Pond. And my husband and I loved sitting out on the lawn chairs to read and relax during our daughter's naptime. The house had all of the amenities we could have needed - including some toys for our daughter! After just one day, we were already talking about future trips back. Dianne was so welcoming, and her little cottage is pure relaxing vacation perfection!
It was amazing! Cottage is very beautiful and warm place. Everything was perfect. View and nature around the cottage are stunning. Dianne was a wonderful host! Really a beautiful place for vacatons!
Anothet vacationer found our little piece of heaven and enjoyed what we have for the past 74 years.
A great vacation hideaway, central to the Cape.
A quaint country cottage, quiet, clean, and tastefully furnished with everything one needs to relax. A plus is the BBQ, and an outside pit where one can share stories around a fire at night. Location is excellent and in near proximity to Sandwich Center, the Glass Musuem, a Trout farm, and the famous Cape Cod Canal bike trail. Views over the lake and walks around the cranberry bog make for an interesting location, and the Boston/Cape Cod train which looks like the Polar Express at night can be viewed from the cottage windows. The location is ideal for exploring the Cape, the beaches of Sandwich and Dennis, Hyannis, Falmouth and also doing a day trip to either Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket. The owner had taken care of everything to ensure we had a great experience, and I would certainly recommend this property to my relatives and friends.
Our cottage is very special to our family because my Dad built it. When we rent it out it's great to hear the stories that renters tell us. They have as much fun as our family has all these years. In the 9 years I've rented our cottage I have never had an upset renter.
Hoxie Pond swimming area and great fresh water fishing are just a short walk from the cottage. One to three miles to Cape Cod Bay beaches, four miles to Sandy Neck Beach with great sandbars at low tide, skim boarding, sand castle making and walking the dunes, Scorton Creek for kayaking at high tide, riding your float with the tide, playing on the sandbars at low-tide and salt water fishing (sweetwater). The Sandwich Boardwalk over Mill Creek is another area for kayaking and playing in the pools at high tide, diving off the bridge or just taking a walk at sunset. The Cape Cod Canal has biking trails along it's banks, fishing, boat rides through the canal, or just enjoy viewing the boats go by from all over the world. There are many golf courses within a few miles, walking paths, outlet shopping, gift and antique shops, the Sandwich Glass Museum, the Heritage Plantation, Thorton Burgess Museum (remembering Peter Rabbit and his friends), and many good area restaurants.
Other Activities: Two creeks for kayaking.
