I believe feedback is a gift and I appreciate it. Definitely, based on this feedback, Mountain Lodge is not for you and I request you not to book again. I have reached out to Mountain Lodge management for validating the feedback and taking appropriate action on things we can improve. We are aware this is an older building in the Snowshoe family of properties. However, it has modernized with Internet access for each condo. It has a very convenient Parking lot.It has tons of space in common area where you can hang out together with family and friends. For my future guests who love Mountain Lodge, this is a perfect example of a guest losing credibility when they do not take the time to think through their rating. There was a lot of effort in hosting this guest and answering his questions/concerns. Throughout the stay, the guest seemed happy and then rated their stay 1-star due to the age of the building. I am very disappointed by Dan's inaccurate rating of the room and hope my future guests will consider this rating as a one off. This unit is rated a Deluxe property by Snowshoe as this unit has been upgraded within the last year.. I am choosing to feature this review so that my future guests read this first. With the level of effort hosts like me provide and open our homes to our guests, this is unfair and inaccurate review. Please note that unlike hotels where Ritz Carlton will be considered a 5-star hotel, VRBO 5-star ratings are different. A 5-star accommodation on VRBO is getting what you paid for, having common amenities and fresh linens available, and having someone promptly address any issue that comes up. It is about transparency and accuracy and making sure when something happens an immediate action is taken. If for some reason, your experience falls below 5-star, I request you to immediately contact me. I have hosted more than 400 guests and I acknowledge that sometimes things do not go perfect. However, what I take pride in is the ability to do my best to improve my guest experience during their stay. My guests understand this and despite less than perfect experience, they rate their stay as 5-star because we did everything in our power to improve their experience. I have always rated my guests as 5-star and will continue to do so.
