This well appointed home features a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and a Wolf six-burner gas range and warming drawer, hardwood cabinetry, granite countertops and slate tile back splashes. Downstairs is a large open concept living space, with a laundry room and powder room, as well as a den. The four bedrooms in Awbrey House are located on the second floor. The Master King Suite features a beautiful bathroom with double sinks and a tiled, open shower with dual shower heads. The remaining three bedrooms all feature Queen beds, and share a full bathroom. Awbrey House is equipped with a flat-screen television, internet access, as well as a gas barbecue grill. The house was perfect for our group of 6. Walking distance to downtown and 35 minutes to West Village parking lot. Nicely appointed and very clean. Definitely recommend.

Very convenient location

This house is so close to Downtown Bend. My coworkers and I really enjoyed the morning walk around the neighborhood. The house itself was nice and clean. Highly recommended.

Great stay in Bend

We had 7 adult family members in the house and it was terrific. The house is beautiful and spacious and the location put us only a short walking distance from all the great places in the central downtown area of Bend. If you ski (4 of us did) the central location makes the drive to Mt. Bachelor a little longer but it's a worthwhile tradeoff. Highly recommend!

Spacious house close to town

I was traveling with 3 friends and this house provided plenty of room for all. This house is just a quick walk away from many great restaurants and shops. We loved walking to town for dinner and then taking a little longer route home strolling the park along the River. Quiet, suburban neighborhood.

Just as advertised

The location was very walkable to downtown area. Neighborhood was nice and over all we had an amazing stay. The house is very beautiful and quiet. The only issues we found were there was absolutely no privacy in the back yard. It is surrounded EXTREMELY close on all sides by neighbors and no fence. So it was impossible for our group to go sit outside in the evenings and enjoy the weather without knowing the neighbors windows are 10 feet away. It felt like a fishbowl. Lastly, the beds were extremely hard, uncomfortable with very old mattresses.

Great stay!

My family and I enjoyed our short stay very much. The master bed was so comfortable and the shower was unforgettable! The location was perfect for exploring downtown and shopping, which was why we were there. We were traveling with a baby (9 months old), so I was hoping the house would provide some basic family items like a pack n play, booster/high chair seat , plastic kids dishes (we have a 4 year old). There seems plenty of storage space in this house to accommodate those special items and it’s very helpful for families not to have to bring the bulky stuff. However I didn’t bother to inquire ahead of time so I had not issue with it. Just a friendly suggestion!

Wonderful house. Perfect location.

Overall fantastic. Roomy, comfortable, well equipped kitchen (perfect for Thanksgiving!). GREAT location: we were unexpectedly snowed in and could walk to amazing restaurants in town, as well as up the hill for a great 3 mile tour of the neighborhood! Had some difficulty getting Netflix, Hulu, etc off the Blu-Ray player (not connecting to the internet), but enjoyed Bridesmaids. Their copy of Castaway was scratched, so couldn't watch it. Extensive blu-ray disc collection...not much of interest to our set. Figured out how to watch cable TV on the 3d of 5 nights. Also, the written instructions to the fireplace were not right, so it took some ingenuity there as well to finally get a fire going (remember, we were snowed in, so this made a BIG difference). The teflon pans could use replacing (they are terribly scratched, so we figured we were probably eating teflon with our eggs in the morning).

Great location

Such an easy and safe walk to town from this location. Plenty of room for 5 people. Kitchen has just about everything we needed. Heating system gave us fits the entire time with downstairs being cold all the time, and upstairs being a sauna. We tried to make adjustments all week but failed to find the sweet spot....sure there is a gas fireplace and we resorted to just using that downstairs (but as a result the living room became very hot and other parts of the first floor, such as the bathroom, were very cold) Quite a few broken things upon our arrival but the property manager took care of those things the next day. We kept noticing little things broken throughout the house, lots of lights with non-working bulbs, etc. I get the feeling the owners never stay in the house and just use it to produce income so if things aren't a major problem they don't care. Weird stuff: someone lives above the garage, which is actually another house it appears, but when you pull in the driveway and you see lights/people don't worry since they aren't in your rental. People frequently used the driveway to walk to the "house above the garage" which is strange when you're sitting there doing dishes in the kitchen and you see random people walking up and down the driveway past your cars. Another thing is the homeless can apparently park their cars on the street outside the house....we called the police to see if they could ask the homeless to park in another location like a parking lot, but the police can't do anything due to city rules...which made me uneasy when my daughters wanted to go for a walk at night...but the homeless outside the house left us alone. All in all it was a comfortable house with many nuances. To have to deal with the nuances I'd say the price should come down a little bit or find a way to resolve the concerns. Would I stay there again? Because the location is great, I would, but at the right price.
