Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Front garden with patio and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . Honeysuckle Cottage is charming, exposed stone, semi-detached cottage situated on the owner’s working farm where there are sheep and cattle. The cottage enjoys stunning views across open countryside and is easily accessible for the renowned North Coast 500. It is very attractively presented throughout, with great attention to detail. The surrounding area provides a wealth of places of interest, including historic Dunrobin Castle, superb unspoilt beaches and wonderful walks direct from the cottage.
The small town of Golspie is 1 mile north of Honeysuckle Cottage. Here there are a good selection of shops, including a supermarket, restaurants, pubs, cafés, an ice cream parlour, sandy beach, harbour and a golf course. There are further facilities at Brora, including a superb sandy beach and championship golf course. You can also take the train from Golspie to the far north (Wick and Thurso) and south to Inverness.
There are a good selection of facilities and sporting opportunities in the area, including fishing, coast and country walking, kayaking and mountain biking. A trip to the nearby Dunrobin Castle, seat of the Dukes of Sutherland, with its gardens modelled on Versailles is a must. The North Coast 500 route follows this dramatic coastline up to the far north and round to the west.
