Nestled at the heart of the picturesque village of Spartochori in Meganisi, Greece, the Teacher’s house promises a pleasant stay! A stone mansion dating back to the 1850s, hosting the village’s teacher, The Teacher’s House has been restored to high standards featuring two suites and a studio with earthy tones and a pleasant atmosphere.
The Levanda suite is located upstairs, occupying the first floor of 60sq.m. and enjoying rooftop views from its private balcony. It features a bedroom with a king-sized bed (1.80m x 2m), a sitting room with two sofas large enough (1m x 2m) to sleep another 2 guests and one bathroom with shower. The suite is very well equipped offering flat screen TV, fridge, two hob cooking facilities with a small standalone oven, French coffee and Nespresso coffee machines, kettle, toaster, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, large dispenser bathroom toiletries, and the use of shared washing machine facilities. At its outdoor ground floor shared spaces, the mansion also offers the use of a small shared pool with jacuzzi jets for out of quiet hours use. As parking space in this narrow street, charming village is very limited, The Teachers House has secured private parking facilities at a fenced outdoor space, a short walk, at 200m.
The traditional settlement of Spartochori is built high on a cliff, enjoying amazing views of the Ionian Sea and the legendary Onassis’s private island, Scorpios. From the Teacher’s House, you may reach Spilia beach within 750m going downhill, either on foot or by car. Any other beaches or locations on the island are easily accessible, within a few minutes’ drive. Meganisi island, with 1,000 inhabitants, is the larger of a complex of various small islets dispersed in the inner Ionian archipelago, east of Lefkada island. A hidden gem island with verdant landscapes, numerous hidden coves, and small beaches, waiting for you to explore either from land or from the sea. And all these, only 25 mins ferry trip from Nidri village in Lefkada.
