Casa DiVino (the house name means in italian at the same time "Divine" like a divine place and "Di Vino" like the "House of Wine") is a splendid farmhouse with swimming pool surrounded by nature at the top of a hill in the Langhe, a few kilometers from Monforte d'Alba. The owners, two families from Northern Europe, have chosen to offer guests a large comfortable house but with some pieces of great charm, such as the splendid country-style kitchen for dinners with friends. Casa DiVino is for large families with small children and parents or groups of friends who are passionate about the food and wine of Alba and Barolo!
The house is provided with 7 bedrooms (one on the groundfloor) and 3 bathrooms on two levels, one large living room with open space kitchen. The large pool is located on the hill top and provide a beautiful landscape!
Casa DiVino is located in the municipality of Cissone at about 250m above sea level, just 10 km from the famous village of Monforte d'Alba and its renowned wineries producing Barolo and Barbaresco and about 15 km from the town of Dogliani and 30 minutes from the city of Alba with the famous Alba white truffle. About 1 and a half hours drive from the main airports (Turin, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa), the property is also very convenient for day trips to Liguria. Portofino, Camogli and the 5 Terre are just over 1 hour and a half away by car; or if you prefer shopping, the McArthurGlen Outlet in Serravalle Scrivia, one of the largest in Europe, can be visited comfortably in a day.
Another very pleasant area to visit is the nearby Bormida valley: an enchanting place between the Monferrato and Langhe hills.
Mostly covered by vines and woods, our area is within the UNESCO area. There are many places of interest just a few kilometers away, such as Le Langhe (the villages of Barolo and Barbaresco) but also Acqui Terme, where you can find all the services, Canelli and Asti. This area is renowned for its wines and the Alba White Truffle. Barbera, Barolo, Dolcetto, Brachetto, Barbaresco to name the most famous wines, this area is the paradise of Piedmontese culinary excellence (SlowFood was born here). You can visit most of the vineyards and buy the wine directly from the producer at very affordable prices or visit many wonderful restaurants that serve our specialties, the White Truffle (in season), Robiola di Roccaverano, fresh local pastas (ravioli al Plin), veal with tuna sauce or meat from the famous Fassona breed. Another important activity in our areas is road cycling and mountain biking. Beautiful because they rise to the tops of our hills, where you will normally find a village with a castle and an excellent restaurant or family trattoria.
