If you want a break that feels effortless, this is your space. Cooking together, challenging the family to a game of pool, or just relaxing outside with a bottle of something bubbly and excellent company – there’s room, and time, for it all. Oh, and need we mention - it’s right by the lake? built for groups who want room to spread out without losing sight of each other. The kitchen can easily handle you all cooking together, and there’s plenty of table space for laying out picky bits if that’s more your style.
The Space:
The house sleeps eight across four bedrooms with four bathrooms. Inside, you’ll find a contemporary open-plan living space with lake views, a large kitchen and a generous dining area. There’s a utility room with a washer and dryer, plus a pool table, table tennis and full Sky HD including movies and sports. High-speed Wi-Fi runs throughout.
Guest Access:
You’ll have full use of the lodge, the enclosed lakefront decking, the private hot tub, the outdoor dining area and the BBQ. The decking has direct access to the lake, and private parking is right outside the property.
Check in from 3PM and check out by 10AM. You can arrive at your own pace with self check-in via key box, just give us a call if you have any issues.
The Neighborhood:
Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.
South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.
Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.
Getting Around:
We recommend travelling by car to get the most out of the area. That being said, Kemble Train Station is only a few minutes away with direct trains to London. Definitely book local taxis in advance for any specific travel plans. The local bus service is very reliable, and the 51 route links Cirencester, Swindon and nearby villages.
Other Things to Note:
The house is dog friendly. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (£35 per dog). A travel cot and high chair are provided. Paddleboard hire is available on request, and decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.
Quiet hours run from 10:30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.
Interaction with Guests:
Everybody finds peace in a different way, and that’s how it should be. From the moment you book, you decide the pace, and we’ll be there to help you plan and create moments that really matter. It’s that little extra layer of support we offer to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thoughtful service that never gets in the way of a good moment.
Whether that means a slow morning with a fresh pot of tea and a long soak, or a day out exploring neighbourhoods and nature - we’ll guide you, so it all unfolds just the way you’ve pictured it.

About the host
Hosted by Housekeepers
We are Barry and Jo and we have an amazing collection of Cotswold holiday lodges on Cotswold Water Park near the old Roman town of Cirencester with most of them dog friendly. We’ve been coming to this beautiful area for many years and about 5 years ago we decided to make the move permanent. We set up our company in 2018, starting with our own holiday home on Windrush lake but as you can see from our portfolio now, we have grown quite considerably! We love to travel and just before the “you know what pandemic” we spent 12 months travelling around the world ending up in New Zealand for Christmas and New Year and then working our way up to Hawaii and North, Central and South America. We think we know what it takes to get a place right for our fantastic guests but we are always learning!
We couldn’t do this without our fantastic team which is growing year by year. Unlike many of the larger companies selling holiday lets we, and our team, know all of our properties intimately because we provide the full service from cleaning and hosting through to managing the hot tubs, the plants on the decking and even window cleaning! Jo, Adele and Meg are the last ones to visit your holiday lodge just before you get there to make sure the place is perfect for your stay – you may even bump into one of them on your way in!
