There is a recently built activity center by the fjord, which provides good conditions for the many different water sports. If you are into angling and/or hiking/cycling, there are also really good conditions for this in Sundby. It is also just 6.5 km. to Ø. Jølby, where there is also shopping, sports facilities, etc. In addition, it is also only 10 km to Thisted and 16 km to Nykøbing, so everything you need is within a few kilometres.

Every year in week 30, the famous horse and hawker market is held in Vildsund, so the house here is an obvious place if you want to experience a market that has been held for more than 150 years.

Hanklit and Salgjerhøj are close by and the two museums Skarregaard and the Fossil- and Molermuseet located on Nordmors. At the Fossil and Moler Museum, 55 million years of history are told through the many fantastic finds in the mole. At the agricultural museum Skarregaard, time has stood still in 1958 and the place invites you to hike around the beautiful landscape. Here you will also find a nice nature playground.

In Nykøbing M. is the local history museum Dueholm Kloster and the Danish Stonework Museum. Here there is a large collection of wood-burning stoves and stoves. The museum is housed in the old industrial buildings

In the beautiful Legind Bjerge area, there are many hiking routes and a mountain bike track. Here you will also find Feriepark Jesperhus with Northern Europe's largest flower park.
