A recently refurbished holiday home located in the village of Holmside, Butterfly Cottage is ideally located to enjoy all that the North East has to offer including Beamish Outdoor Museum and the cities of Newcastle and Durham. The property sleeps up to four guests across two ensuite bedrooms and has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, along with outdoor space.

The Space:
Butterfly Cottage is a beautiful, two-storey holiday home with everything that you could need for a self-catering staycation in County Durham. Recently refurbished, the property has been carefully designed to create a homely and welcoming space. Featuring underfloor heating on the ground floor, exposed beams, neutral colour schemes and barn style doors, Butterfly Cottage has the perfect balance of modern and traditional.

Butterfly Cottage features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area where you can relax and socialise. The living area boasts an exposed brick fireplace, a log burner, a flat screen TV and a comfortable sofa with a matching armchair. The ideal spot to unwind during your stay, you can keep up with your favourite shows or enjoy the peace and quiet here.

Traditional in style, the shaker kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cutlery and cookware. With modern amenities and appliances, you'll be able to prepare home cooked meals during your stay. Enjoy your meals at the dining area which includes a wooden table and four matching dining chairs.

The property boasts two gorgeous bedrooms on the first floor, each of them fitted with traditional comfy beds. The master bedroom comes in the form of a king-size suite with an ensuite bathroom and plenty of storage space.

Similar in style, the second bedroom has a double bed with premium soft furnishings and the space has been presented to a high standard. Featuring stone blue painted walls and a walk-in shower, the ensuite bathroom is modern and stylish. A WC and basin complete the space to a comfortable finish.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Butterfly Cottage are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Butterfly Cottage per reservation.
