Nested in quiet countryside, this semi-detached bungalow is 4 miles from the bustling town of Consett, 5 miles from the popular village of Lanchester and just 13 miles away from the historic cathedral city of Durham.

Very well presented throughout, with a well-equipped kitchen and separate utility area with belfast sink. The living room is light and spacious with a wonderful cosy wood burner and a Smart TV. The accommodation is all on one level, with a lovely lawned area to the front, and deep bay windows looking out making the ideal space to sit and relax with a good book. Ideal for guests who enjoy walking and cycling, there are numerous established public footpaths, walks and cycle paths close by, and the nearest cycle path is the C2C. The beautiful hills and valleys of Teesdale and Weardale are both between 20 and 30 minutes’ drive away, and walkers will find themselves surrounded by some of the most scenic countryside that County Durham has to offer. To the north, Hadrian’s Wall can be reached within an hour’s drive and offers a more historic trail for walkers to take. The Derwent Valley Railway Path leads east towards the outskirts of Durham and is very popular with cyclists, whilst the Waskerley Way leads west and on into the vast open spaces of Weardale. For guests wanting to enjoy a spot of history and culture, the cathedral city of Durham offers plenty of attractions to enjoy at all times of year. Also of interest nearby is Hexham’s abbey, or the open-air Beamish Museum. For lovers of retail therapy, Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and the Metrocentre are a short drive away. For food and drink you will be spoilt for choice. The nearby village of Lanchester offers a good variety of places to eat, including village pubs, an Italian restaurant, Greek restaurant and a couple of takeaways. The Knitsley Farm Shop is a little over an enjoyable 2 mile walk. It has a fabulous selection of home produce and locally sourced food and drink. The town of Consett is perfect for supermarket shopping and has a variety of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. There is an indoor sports centre, swimming baths, cinema and theatre, and outdoor markets held on a Thursday and Friday. Manor Park Cottage offers a perfect central location, whether exploring town or country, near or far. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
