The worst, most traumatic “vacation” experience I have ever had. 0/5
My main complaint, amongst MANY, is that when I finally demanded to see a copy of their permit to show that it was a legal unit, they never sent it…just a nasty, unprofessional “Unfortunately for you…”
On arriving in Madrid, I spent max 20 minutes in (expensive) property that I had booked a month earlier for 3 people for 14 days. I was so was so alarmed by lodging scenario that I contacted MIT House immediately and went look for alternative lodging. Unable to locate anything at all for 3 people for that timeframe on such short notice, ended up having to leave Madrid.
Read fine print very carefully. This property is an extremely noisy, street-level unit with the majority of the living space underground. The underground rooms are sequential, so you have to walk through one to get to the next. How this is possibly a "residential" property I do not know. Rules are different in every country. It is run by a large property management company in Madrid. There are many terrible reviews about them on Google -Read.
I immediately upon arrival contacted MIT HOUSE through VRBO web app in a panic about the safety (egress in case of fire) of the unit, in addition to noise. Over a 24 hour period I sent multiple messages on app. They didn’t respond, so I called their agents twice for over 30 minutes. They couldn’t help. I called VRBO, and they finally said, announce doesn’t say it’s NOT underground, so too bad. The furniture looks great, but EXTREMELY uncomfortable. DON’T!
