Highly recommended

I liked: location (equidistant between two tube stations, and close to bus), and the fact that the flat is QUIET. I'm a solo traveler, and found the flat just right for my requirements.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Good location but shower leaked and heating inadequate. Bed stated in listing as king size but was very small.

Comments

The flat was comfortable and clean, and a pleasant place to rest between outings. Enjoyed having a microwave, refrigerator, hot water maker and kitchen sink. My visit coincided with repairs to the building's water system? I was not affected much as I was out a lot. But the evening before I left, there was no running water at all. Thankfully, it was on again in the morning. Neighbors across the hall were a bit loud slamming doors, parties.

Our London Stay

This apartment was very clean and is wonderfully well lit with corner windows. The location was perfect for both the South Kensington Station and Sloane Square with its many bus stops and tube lines, including the Piccadilly line from the airport with an easy walk to the apartment.

Wonderful location AND IT HAS LIFTS!

After wrangling bags up multiple flights of stairs at many locations over the years, we love the fact that it has elevators it's a quite elegant and clean rental, nicely positioned for Sloane Square and South Kensington tube stops (not to mention King's Road). Good shower pressure and hot water. The fact that the block of flats (great Art Deco frontage) as a whole has a doorman means that taxis are always easy to call and one has a sense of greater security. Also love the fact that an outside keysafe means that there are no complicated meetings to set up to get the keys and it doesn't matter if the flight is delayed . . . . Climate change has brought terribly hot days to London in the summer. Duvets are not great in this weather a nice cotton top sheet alternative would be good. One of us got many mosquito bites from sleeping without a cover with the windows open on a very hot night (it was only one mosquito but she's one of those people who attracts mosquitoes). A more high power fan would be good, too, in the absence of a/c..

A gem - book it if you can

This is a lovely little (by US standards) apartment in an excellent building with a helpful doorman/porter. It is very well situated just a few blocks from Bus 11 (excellent for tourists) or a Tube stop. The neighborhood is excellent. Lovely to stroll around posh Cadogan Sq which is right nearby. It is a corner unit so nice and light. Double glaze windows are quite effective at blocking any noise. The bathtub is really long, lovely to soak in after a long day of walking. Personally i think it is great for 1 or 2 people but even tho it has a sofabed it would be cramped for 3-4. I would return here in a heartbeat. Supermarket right across the street is handy. Maybe a little more of the basics: i had to buy cling film, for example. There were No spices or herbs beyond a little salt pepper and tea, too little space for storing food and too much of the limited cupboard space was allocated to glassware and dishes. But this is a small thing, just a recommendation.
