We love our repeat renters! Come back again any time!
The property was beautiful - so spacious and great proximity to upper lift. Kids could truly ski in/ski out.
Kids already talking about booking it again!
This property has it all! The views of the sunset are breathtaking. Our family had more space than we needed and loved every minute. Beautiful drives to all the National Parks and Monuments. The lodge was perfect to come back to in the evening to cook dinner and relax in the hot tub.
Loved this gorgeous property for our large family. Celebrated our parents 70th birthdays and 40th anniversary. 19 people felt like they could spread out and chill. So beautiful. Thank you!!

Loved this beautiful mountain home!!
This home was a perfect fit for our family!! Loved that all of the bedrooms have a King bed & it’s own bathroom. There was a living space on every level to hang out & socialize. The main level has an open kitchen/living area with plenty of seating for everyone. The fireplace was cozy at night. The large deck was nice for sitting & enjoying the outside. There is a balcony area off of all of the bedrooms which was nice. The garage was a large additional space for the kids to run around in & play. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at night. It was very clean & inviting. There isn’t a grassy area on the property to play games on or for the kids to play so we used the garage & parking area for that which worked ok. We saw deer, Wild Turkey, Jackrabbits, & other smaller wild life. The view was great over looking Terry Peak Ski resort with a ski slope right next to the property. Lead & Deadwood are a close drive & we did find some walking & hiking paths that were close to the property. The DakotaMart in Lead is a nice grocery store which has everything you need. Overall we loved it here at Peak 1 & hope to come back soon.

Great location and house - a lot of broken stuff to fix
The house and the location is great - the house is setup perfectly for a big group to be able to spread out and enjoy time together and apart. There essentially are 4 owner's suites which is beyond unique for a house - as well as numerous other rooms and sleeping areas for kids. This house is built for vacationing and it gorgeous.
Anne was super responsive overall - she helped us out numerous times including a time we accidentally locked ourselves out. She's super nice and did her best to help - no issues with communication.
The problem is, this house is showing age - it's huge and has a ton of moving parts and it appears that the owners just haven't kept up with the many punch lists. We created our own punch list (our kids did actually as a game) because it kind of got fun to list out all of the broken things. The owners quite literally need to shut down for a couple of weeks and start fixing things rather than continuing to rent - and I think they probably know that. We tried to communicate all of the issues so they can fix them but it got to be loo long a list and was bordering on being disrespectful so we stopped. Broken kitchen microwave, sliding doors that don't open or don't lock, fans that rattle, shower doors that don't shut, lights burned out, dishwasher doesn't clean dishes and appears to have disengaged from the kitchen cabinets, laundry washer upstairs doesn't work and smells like feces, I could go on. I tried sending this list to them privately after our stay but they appeared to ignore it since I never heard back. Hoping they found time to do some repairs, because the house is really cool and has so much potential once some upkeep happens.
We had a great time despite the issues - but given the amount of money we spent to rent, we didn't expect to have so many issues with upkeep.

Thanks for your feedback, Daniel. I searched but can't find an email from you after your stay otherwise I certainly would have replied to your list! You're right that there are a lot of moving parts with a house this big that can host so many guests. Per our conversation after the lock out incident :) I remember telling you that we were doing a lot of upgrades, a deep clean, painting the entire interior, replacing items, etc. We have done just that in the past few weeks and are excited for upcoming guests to see this beautiful cabin spruced up after a very long and busy summer of guests from all over the US enjoying SD's beauty.
Excellent space inside and out …. Loved it!
Some needed upkeep we noted …. Dishwasher wasn’t worth using . Kerrig coffee maker didn’t work …. Maybe needs descaling ? There was no hot tub “shock” treatment as directed in handbook . The side drinking faucet in kitchen was loose and needs adjustment .
This is a beautiful property, with amazing views. We had enough room to spread out, so each one of our family members could have their own space.
We had an Internet issue, that was taken care of on the first available day. The trash from the previous guests didn’t get picked up until Tuesday after the fourth, Which I wish could’ve been picked up sooner.
Other than that, place was great! Anne was helpful and tried her best

Beautiful Mountain House but be weary of driveway
There were 5 couples and we enjoyed our week stay at the house in Lead, SD on Terry’s Peak. It was spacious and accommodated the 10 of us very well and the views were spectacular. There were plenty of seating on the decks. The garage accommodated our 5 Corvettes. The table in the kitchen seated all 10 of us, plus there was another table which worked out fantastic. The house is furnished well and the beds were very comfortable, plenty of bath towels, pillows, kitchen items. The location of the house was perfect for the excursions we planned. The house could use a little extra attention on cleanliness, some items dusty and dust under furniture. The remotes for TV’s and DVD players did not have batteries and/or were broke. But all 10 of us were very disappointed in the driveway that it was not gravel as we were told; we were coming in Corvettes. That is the reason for the low rating. There was construction going on for a retaining wall and addition to the other house on top of the hill, so the driveway was mud, with ruts and standing water making our drive up horrible, slipping and splattering our cars with mud. If it wasn’t for the construction crew the first morning to put gravel down for us we would never have made it up and down the driveway. Our last day it rained and we were unable to get out of the driveway to do our excursions as part of the driveway washed away on the bottom. The next morning the construction crew fixed the driveway so we could leave (checkout). We were very disappointed we were unable to do our excursions. If the driveway was truly gravel, we would have had no issues as we rented many house that had gravel in the past and in the mountains. If you are ok with a mud driveway, this is a beautiful house to spend your time. If the driveway was paved we would consider another trip back to this house.
Excellent vacation home. Any issue we had was responded to quickly and always hospitable. Beautiful home. Wonderful bedrooms and all facilities, including hot tub and fireplace.
This place was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for a better place to stay! We were in the heart of the Hills and the views were spectacular. Communication with Anne was easy and beyond helpful! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!
