Great Location, Nice New Building, but...
The rooftop pool area is incredible, and wasn't too crowded during our stay even though it was high season. The apartment itself is nice, modern, and comfortable. It's clean and the kitchen is well equipped, though we didn't do any cooking. The bed is comfortable - good mattress and nice bedding. The reason for the 3 stars, instead of 4 or 5, is that the pics are a little misleading. First of all the pictures are from a different unit. Yes, the units are nearly identical, but I think the management agency needs to post pics of the actual unit. The bathroom pics, for example, show two sinks, although this apartment only had one. The balcony pics are also from a higher up unit. The apartment is on a low floor, and while you do see a "mountain view," the primary view is of the main highway leading out of town. I mention this because the highway is quite loud. For those that know PV, it's the point of the highway right where it starts, heading up a hill around a curve toward Conchas Chinas, etc. So you get the loud diesel engines of all the Mexican camiones straining as they go up the hill, or downshifting as they go down the hill. In other words, it's not a balcony that you are going to want to use much, even though it would otherwise be nice. Thankfully, the glass doors are high quality and the apartment is fairly quiet. I would still recommend this place in spite of the loud balcony situation, but future renters should be aware of the reality. Hey, most of the time you are going to be out enjoying Vallarta, so it really doesn't matter. And this apartment building is in a great location for exploring the old town of PV. I'd stay here again if the price was right, but I think the price should reflect the position of the unit facing the highway.
