Orchardleigh Castle East, Orchardleigh Estate

This impressive 12th Century Castellated Grade II* listed Castle can sleep up to 12 guests in stunningly appointed bedrooms. Orchardleigh Castle East Battlement benefits from stunning outside space along with its own private hot tub and being located on a 500 acre private estate. Orchardleigh Golf and Country Club is within walking distance also offers a full bar and food menu along with a children's adventure playground.
The space
Orchardleigh Castle East Battlement is situated on the Orchardleigh Estate. This impressive 12th Century Castellated Castle is a Grade II* listed and of particular special national importance being one of only 4% of buildings in this higher category.

A picturesque gothic-style building with 3-storey towers to each side of the portcullis latticework wooden gates. The forecourt is surrounded by a semi-circular castellated curtain wall, flanked by machicolated towers forming giant gate piers that envelope the landscaped gardens.

On the ground floor the Castle has a magnificent Oak panelled living room with gigantic Inglenook fireplace, beautifully appointed kitchen, Dining room and Utility room.
Double doors open onto beautifully landscaped gardens with Garden Furniture and a fabulous Hot tub.

Sleeping up to twelve guests, there are two double bedrooms on the ground floor, along with a luxuriously decorated Victorian-style bathroom. Another double and 2 sets of bunk beds on the first floor and a Victorian-style bathroom.

A further two guests can sleep on the sofa bed located in the lounge giving a maximum of twelve guests.
Guest access
Both Orchardleigh Castle East and West can, if available, be booked together to accommodate up to 24 guests.
Guests will have access to the entire East Battlement along with private Hot Tub.

Nestled at the heart of stunning countryside, The East Castle sits on the Northern end of Orchardleigh Estate; a privately owned 500 acre estate. Surrounded by a picturesque landscape. Orchardleigh Estate provides endless activities, including countryside walks, an 18 hole golf course and fishing (by prior arrangement), to name but a few. Orchardleigh Golf and Country Club is within walking distance also offers a full bar and menu along with a children's adventure playground.

Golf can be booked via the website, from £16 for 18 holes, we also hire Golf Clubs and offer lessons.

There are tranquil walks on the Estate around our 35 acres of lakes and 12th Century Island Church. We do have livestock so please do keep your dogs on a lead.
Golf buggies can also be booked via the Golf Club.
